Visor Advice For CCM V10

Recommended Posts

I know this sort of thread probably appears here all the time  (i searched about 50 times and couldnt find anything specific) so if there is something relevant and ive missed it please delete this thread and point me in the right direction :D

Im new here , but have been lurking for a while, and i have been looking for info on peoples preferences on what visor to put on a CCM V10 helmet.

Basically I have a CCM large V10 lid and I need a half visor which offers quite a lot of protection?

Anyone out there use a CCM V10 and have any recomendations on what visor looks good on the CCM and any pictures of their particular set up?

I've got a V08 (same shell as the V10 but with the more traditional padding inside) and I have an Oakley Pro Modified Aviator. I've used this visor for a number of years now and like the shape and protection it offers.

If you want more protection you could go for one of the ones that comes down about 3/4 of the way, like Dany Heatley wears.

Thats a real nice set up, it looks really good.

what i think looks nice on a vector helmet is the oakley that Tuomo Ruutu wears.... http://hurricanes.nhl.com/team/app/?servic...;galleryId=6166

the 2nd and 4th pics are pretty good

Thats not bad, im not sure i like the venting at the top of the visor.

Ruutu sporting the reason why you need a visor

Thanks :) I like it, it's comfy, protective, and I like the way it looks. The only modification I did to the helmet was to change out the earloops/chin strap. The helmet came with thei new style where the chin strap goes through the earloop rather than around it so it stays in one place, the problem was that it put the strap out on the edge of my chin where it did nothing but bother me (and wouldn't help hold the helmet on if it had to), so I took them off and put my old ones on from my Bauer and am much happier with them now.

Itech straight, not the small, mounted on my V10 Large. I think it's the X50, not too sure as I got it off MSH new. I like it, lots of room in front of my big nose, comes down far enough for reffing. I still use a cage to play. I have it tilted slightly up so that I can't see the top in my peripheral, it was annoying. My profile pic shows a head-on view.

The Oakley pro mod. visor I have sits on my nose, even with an extra CM cut into the slots. The Itech will be used despite how much of an Oakley junkie I am.

Rustpot: Nice set up also , although i think i might need a bit more protection since im switching to D this year.

Anyone have any picture or know of any player who wear the V10 with a Itech pro wave?

I have an Itech straight cut tinted one that I think looks good on it. Saved my face a couple times, too.

I just got my rink store to order my an oakley pro aviator without vents, although being in the UK thee not sure they can get it.

If not i think its gonna have to be the itech HS22.

<_< Typical , none of the stores i have contacted can get hold of the Oakley pro aviator in the UK.

I then found the Hejduk MH-200 which is virtually the same or the MH-900, And found exactly the same problem!!

No one seems to be able to get them in the UK

Any Uk posters out there know of anywhere that stocks them??
