Super Feet!?

but there are people who go up 2 or 3 or more sizes to compensate for their heel width.

As was the case for me. I chopped off a couple inches for sure.

I know Superfeet doesn't recommend it but has anyone put the Superfeet insole on top of another insole? I was hoping my Superfeet would take up a bit of volume in the forefoot area but they didn't. I was thinking of cutting a basic Dr Schols style insole in half and placing the top part underneath the Superfeet.

Bought yellow skate Super Feet last year and they stopped any foot pain I had. They are going to out last your skates so what is 30 bucks in the long run.

you do NOT get the size that fits your shoe size or skate size, you get the size that fits your heel. if they happen to fit your shoe or skate also, thats fine, but its not about the length at all

Anything one can do if they already have the biggest size available?

I don't have them in front of me at the moment, but I'd be willing to bet my heel doesn't fit right.

I'm thinking about getting the yellows for my XXXX's but I cant find a store around me that sells them. My shoe size is 9.5-10.0 and my Bauers are 8D. Should I just get the 9.5-11.0 yellows and hope they fit? I guess I can always send them back if they don't line up right.

I wear a 9.5-10 shoe and an 8D in my CCM's and I bought the 9.5-11 yellows. That size fit my arch location best and I just had to trim some off the tops.

I just got my superfeet last week and had 2 skates with them. I wasn't having any foot pain prior and I'm still not having any problems. I did feel a little awkward for about 2 min when i first laced up, but i adapted really easily.

I just bought a pair of yellows from IceWarehouse.... There was a $10 instant credit so they ended up only being $26 w/o shipping. Not sure how long the deal lasts.

I use grey superfeet in my 9k ice skates. I was out for 4 months with a groin injury. When I came back to skating i was getting harsh foot pain. Put these in and the pain stopped within a few skates. I think it was more to do with the boot reshaping to my foot so I can't say if the superfeet contributed but they definitely felt more supportive than the stock 9k insole.

I just ordered them today and the $10 instant credit still applied.

Yeah, the promotion is still going on. I wasn't particularly having any problems with my X:50's, but I thought I'd like to give the superfeet a try at since a good price.

They came in the mail today. I trimmed them down and put them in the boot, they fit rather nicely. I feel like my heel locked in a little better with the superfeet compared to the stock insoles. I'll have to wait to try them out on on ice sunday, but standing and walking around in them I was liking what I felt.

Just wanted to add that I, like some others, had to go up a size because apparently my wide feet/low arch affect how far along my arch is relative to the length of my foot.

For example, my foot length is a true size 7, but when I got the matching superfeet the arch on them was too close to the heel. I have to send them back and get a size up.

How do the superfeet insoles compare to the Sidas insoles (not the custom Sidas but standard) that you can buy for Graf skates?

They're much more supportive and better made. The foam is thicker and of a higher quality, and the plastic is thicker, more rigid, and considerably tougher.

I use the Sidas ones in my 709 player skates because they were free; Superfeet in my full-time goalie skates.

Following up on this: I skated with the superfeet on Sunday. I didn't have any big issues with the fit and feel of the stock insoles, but I did notice a difference with the superfeet. I felt like the skate gripped and fit the contours of my foot a little better than with the stock insole. I definitely like the way the feel in the skate. Very happy with the purchase.

Follow up as well:

I recently picked up a pair of vapor XXV's ($170! at South Windsor, CT). The arch and midfoot really hurt at first. I tried my shock dr's and they were ok. Tried yellow superfeet and the difference is almost night and day. Very supportive, no pain, these puppies feel like really supportive sneakers. Barring any future discrepancies I think Superfeet has made a customer for life out of me.

i am going back to shockdoctors. not because i dont like superfeet. only because they are a little more slippery. every foot is different which is why i think you see varying opinions. from what i remember, the doctors were a little more supportive for my arch and i had better grip. i skate barefooted.

what I like the most about the superfeet insoles is the small heel lift I get in my vapors. The stance is much better for my skating. Im generally flat footed so getting a little bit of arch support is a bonus. It helps me fill out the skate better.

hi, do you buy a yellow superfeey or black? i saw that black superfeet is for flat footed person. im wearing ONE75 which hurts my feet badly because of the arch is too high for my flat foot and its also ruined my balance on skates. stock footbed from supreme is crappy...no support at all... i hv tremendous pain on my middle part of foot and on its side too.

superfeet wont fix an ill-fitting boot. It sounds like you lack depth in the arch area of your foot. I have had the same problem when trying on one75s. Superfeet will actually take even more volume away since they have a heel lift (Im using yellow superfeet). I doubt superfeets will fix your problems.

great footbeds for people with an arch in their foot. i have an extremely flat foot and they did nothing except cause problems. i had the people at my lhs grind notches into the hard plastic to cause it to flex and relieve the pain. it helped a little but i think that i made the mistake in the beginning when purchasing one75's with a wide foot.

exactly. it all comes down to your feet. i have a pretty big arch so it helps fill the void left by stock insoles. it feels good, just that the doctors fit that arch a little better and have better grip.
