CCM U+ Skates

Recommended Posts

So I was poking around the skate shop last week and brought up the possibility of customs with One75/One95s and I mentioned the CCM U+ skate, and the response I got sort of shocked me. "They're absolute garbage...We've had people come in with blisters etc etc" Referring to the unformed heel etc..or wideness..Anyone else have this problem? Because I've been looking at this skate for some time and I do not want to drop the $$ if they're not a great skate. I've been to other shops and I've gotten similar responses regarding them.

The heel is atrociously wide.

Try them on, make sure you get the heated and placed in the FIT machine. If it works for you, I guess they can be great skates. Just hardly works for anyone.

I have blister problems with my U+, first time it ever happens to me wearing skates.

Ive been wearing some 2nd skin for the past couple games and it helps a lot.

Had no issues once so ever and I have a narrow heel. I found the trick to be use Superfeet and bake them a llittle longer then recommended. Mine have been perfect since day one!

Aye. I was a little shocked at the size of the heel when I first got on the ice in my U+ (size 9E) after fitting a little too snug in a 8.5D CCM 1052 for the last....7 years or so but after a 2nd baking, couple practices, and a little wearing them relaxing on the couch, they feel great on me now. Longest break in period I've had but ohhh man they feel good now.
