NBH Malkin and Naslund Curves

Recommended Posts

Been playing Easton and Warrior pretty much all the time and am thinking giving NBH a shot. I've heard that the Malkin is a good all around curve so I would like to try that and am also intrigued at the Naslund since I've never played a toe curve (I think the Naslund is a toe curve).

Just wanted to see what folks thought of these two curves. I'm especially interested in something that is good for getting the puck up on the back hand.

The Naslund and Malkin are opposite ends of the curve spectrum. The Malkin is a very small heel curve where the Naslund is a sizeable mid to toe curve. The Malkin is square to closed at the toe. The Naslund is open at the toe. As for a curve that will make getting the puck up on the back hand easier, I have no idea how to answer that....I would think the ability to elevate the puck on the backhand is a skill the player must learn with whatever curve they choose to use.

What patterns were you using with your Warriors and Eastons. Let us know what you like or didn't like about them. That will help with recomendations.

Is the Malkin PM9 equivalent to Warrior's Fedorov Lie 5 curve or Draper?

Draper is basically a Naslund..

Neither although the Federov will be closer. Warriors lie measurements are a little funky. If you like the 5 lie on the PM9, go with a 4 lie federov in the warrior. That would be the most similiar.
