Vapor XXXX turned to x60 (pics)

ok so this guy blacked out his vapor 40s so they look like the x60s

im wondering what he used to make the lines black, and also how he got the back ground part to be silver? what did he use. I have an old pair of XXV that i want to try to do this to so any help is appreciated

yea but he only did the tendon guard and the XXXX, the ones that were posted a few days ago didnt have the black lines and the back ground was not silver

I find that hard to believe... If they were, they'd have top of the line lightspeed steal on it, that does not look to be the case on those.

The second one looks like the sharpie. The first one he might have put some real effort in and actually taped off the pieces he didn't want to change and then spray painted or used some kind of paint/sharpie to black it out.

i've been thinking about painting my whole boot black except for the area around the eyelets. btw i have xxvs

Im not a huge fan of decorating my skates, but if you really want your skates to look like the ones pictured it wouldnt be that hard at all to do.

Im sure some masking tape and a paint marker would do the trick. You really wouldnt have to do alot to add the black lines and black around the tendon gaurd.

The lines this guy blacked out on the skate are raised compared to the rest of the boot, so you could mask around them rather easily then use a paint marker or sharpie or whatever and make them black. The sharpie will eventually turn purplish and fade though.

Try it see how it turns out and let us know.

hey guy with the XXV, i recommend using like a silver paint pen to go around the black lines

also, do you guys know if black paint pen will write over silver paint pen?

I was playing pickup tonight (ontario), the guy on our team had the new Bauer X60 vapours on. They look very sleek. He wouldn't say where he got them from but apparently Bauer contacted him and told him to send it back.

Saw a pair of S11 with black cloth tape covering any silver comp part of the boot yesterday. It looked pretty good on the Eastons. The guy did a good job. Said he was bored and did it.
