Vapor XXXX switch to Rbk 9k

I am using a Vapor XXXX and intend to switch to a Rbk 9k.

Does anyone already have some experience who did the same?

Is the Vapor XXXX stiffer than the Rbk 9k?

I'd think twice about it if I were you. I was a CCM guy and had 9Ks too. Before baking the 9Ks I tried on Vapors. Wow... what a difference. The Vapor, IMO, is a much better constructed skate. Also, there are very real difference in the fit. The heel on the 9K is HUGE. The pump doesn't really fill that void. Another difference is the blade rocker but I really don't think that's too big a deal. Just really think about it and try them on.

dkmiller3356, you really think the heel in the k is huge? I tried on the 9k and the XXXX and to me the heel in the 9k was MUCH smaller. I'm skating in 9k's and love them. I can't compare them to the XXXX for durability but as far as fit I loved the 9k much more!

Also interesting would be if anyone has done a switch from Nike Bauer Supreme One95 to Rbk 9k ?!

I went the other way...RBK 9K to One75. The 9K was very comfortable on the ankle, as I came back from a broken leg. Especially with the pump. But it is very wide. I tried the One75 and it fits my foot better - deeper than the original one90. It's been 6 months, and the One75s have been great!

Isn't he talking about the stick? He says he's usinga vapor xxxx not a pair of them, I could be wrong. If it's the stick you are talking about don't use the 9k if you have a XXXX.

They fit completely different. The Vapor is stiffer.

Unless they changed the fit this year, Vapor has a narrower heel and forefoot.

OK, well if the XXXXs fight right I would choose them over the 9ks, I find the pumps to be gimmics from my personal experiences.

Yup... sure do. In fact I think most anyone will tell you they are. The 9K is a fine skate... I'm not knocking it. Vapor is stiffer too.
