Easton S11/S15 vs. One55/One75 Skate Fit

Recommended Posts

I searched around some of the huge One95/One75 threads trying to find the answer but I didn't quite find it.

How do the fit of these skates compare? I'm currently skating in S11's. The heel, arch and volume work well for me, but the forefoot is a wider than I'd like. Anyone have any feedback?

Thanks !

I have the S-11's as well and find the same thing. I find the forefoot extremely comfortable however and still responds well. My 1300's had a slightly narrower forefoot but I didn't find them any more responsive than the S-11's. Still adore the Easton fit over any other manufacturer.

I agree... the fit is great and I'm surprised how well it works for me despite the excess width around the ball of the foot and forward. Definitely the most comfortable skate I've had to date.

Could anyone please chime in about how the Bauer Supreme series compares in that area? I'm looking for something with a similar fit in the heel & arch with less width in the forefoot.

The Stealth Padlock gives the S11's better heel lock compared to the One75's, in my opinion. The forefoot is a little narrower in the One75's, and I liked the tongues on the One75's waaaaay better than the S11's (1st and 2nd gen).

Thanks for the feedback... the heel lock is my favorite part of the skate. I'm not a big fan of the rigid S11 tongue either... the top edge of the tongue has cut up the suspension strap on my RBK 4K shins (shins over tongues).

Do you have any comments on the volume of the One75 vs the S11?

I went from S11's to One95's...Had the same feeling in regards to there being a little bit of excess room in the forefoot in the S11's. The One95's are hands down the most comfortable skates I've ever worn. They don't have excess room up front around the ball of my foot, and the heel lock is even better than the S11's, at least for me.

I like the ankle lock on the One95/One75/One55 series skate as opposed to the Easton models. Much more comfortable for me anyways.

Remember that the One75 fits differently than the rest of the Supreme line. It's tighter in the heel than the others which is why I was very confused when I found that in general the Supreme line was wider than the Vapor line yet the One75 fit my skinny heel very snug.

Due to the lack of one75's in the NYC area I might have to just buy a pair without tryin them on. After trying them on at home i'll decide if it fits properly and if not shipping it back.

But my question is i'm a size 7 Supreme and 7 in Graf as well. Does the one75 fit the same length-wise as those 2? Or will I be wise to go half a size lower like was suggested for the one90 last year?

I wore an 8 in my old Graf 705's and was between a 7.5 and 8 in the One75's. I ended up going w/ the 8 b/c the 7.5 just felt a little too short (I probably could have gone with them and been fine but the 8's just felt a little better).

I know that's not very helpful to you but that was my experience. It's too bad the place I got mine, Plaza Sports in Rocky Point, is atleast an hr drive from NYC b/c they had some pretty good stock in the One75's and the guys are pretty good.

If you were in 705's your heel must not be

that skinny. I went from the One75s to 703's because my heel was all over the place in the NBH's.

My heel was definitely not that snug in the 705's as compared to the One75's (it's a skinny heel but not super skinny... when I was a kid I'd have the worst time buying soccer cleats b/c of my weird shaped feet, the heel was one of the issues). The 705's I wore for a long time, they were never baked or anything when I got them (that was still pretty new at the time) so the heel/ankle padding may have not broken down/broken in as much as they would have otherwise? As far as I know the 705's are a regular width heel (http://www.grafcanada.com/science/every_foot.pdf) and the One75's are definitely a bit narrower back there, they fit me like a glove and give me much more heel lock than the Graf's ever did. The 703's you mentioned are a narrow fitting heel so compared to the One75 it should be slightly narrower back there.

I am currently using a 703 graf that I customed to the shape of my foot. The thing that I can't stand about grafs which never occurred to me until I actually started skating on them is the fact the eyelets come over the top of the foot which puts a lot of pressure on the top of my foot when i lace them. I don't know if that makes a lot of sense as thats the best that i can describe it. I don't mean that it literally is over the top just more so than like bauers.

This wasn't a problem when i was trying them on. I only realised it after i got them and started skating on them.
