LS 2 with LS 2.1 Steel

Ive got a pair of vapor 25's. What ive been told is that I can put 2.1 steel from a one95 on them. Will the 2mm longer length on the runner be noticeable at all. And who sells the 2.1 steel?

I'd say no - all the extra steel is on the toe & heel, and doesn't even touch the ice during normal course of events except maybe for quick toe starts & heel turns

i recently had this done last week and skated on it just once, first step on the ice i noticed my ability to made quick sharp turns weren't so easily done, but still wasn't that big of a difference. i did notice the difference in the distance gliding on the 2.1 vs. regular steel. i have a tourney this weekend so i will get a full 2-3 games use out of them.

Cool. Where did u get just the steel. None of my LHS have em or know any body who does. And my net serches are truning up nothing. But I was on step's website and the have a lightspeed power runner. But is that the same as the lightspeed 2.1 power. Id like to get step steel over factory bauer if at all possible.

I don't know if you live in California, but the HockeyGiant superstore sells the 2.1 steel, or at least they used to when I was there a couple weeks ago. Not so sure they sell it online yet though.

search a few of the hockey retailers online, i remember seeing a few sites selling them.

i'm in toronto so i was lucky my lhs hadthem in stock

Any LHS with a Bauer contract can easily order them for you. They are fully in stock and usually ship out the next day. In my opinion yes you will notice a difference as the extra steel added causes more blade to touch the ice so there will be less of a rocker. You can simply have a radius done to make it feel more like standard LS steel.
