RBK Talon Pants

Anyone know anything about the RBK Talon pants? They feature an adjustable thigh pad which seems similar to the concept around the 9k. I was thinking about picking up a pair but can't find any reviews anywhere

Sounds like an SMU. All RBK's stuff is normally designated by the 5k, 9k or whatever designations.

The Talon is about the same quality and protection level as the 5K or 6K Reebok pant. As already stated it's just a specially made model for various equipment distributors or local hockey shops.

I was told by hockey giant over the phone that they were a 5k with a different logo.

I have them and they're based off the 6k's according to Source for Sports

Usually SMUs are the mid-range and lower-end product with features from the product thats one step above it in the lineup

Talons are 6K's with SOME higher end features but also some lower end features.

Try them before you buy them, I was sold on the 9k pants before even seeing them because of how much i loved my 8k's, but i seen a pair at the store and decided to try them on, most restrictive pants ive ever worn, not just that but there heavy as hell. Felt like goalie pants, im assuming if the talon is quite a bit similar there just the same, i bought tackla 9000 air's but if you dont want to spend $230 on pants id suggest trying the tackla advantage, there around the talons price range.

Not too sure about the 8K, but if I remember correctly when I was looking at the 9k pants it was a girdle/shell combo.
