Bauer Flexlite 4.0 Fit

Recommended Posts

This is ridiculous! Im thinking Graf is my only option left. I read somewhere that even the medium instep grafs are deep compared to other brands because of the eyelet curve or something... I dont know if this is true all the way to the top eyelets or not. But that low cut Graf ankle scares me...

I really dont get this because Im a thin guy with fairly small bones.

how do these compare to the Nike Flexlite 12s? I need a new pair of skates but I'm afraid to try anything else because everything hurts me feet except my Flexlite 12s.

I would be interested to getting a definitive answer to robats question, I'm currently in 12's as well in a 9.5 EE (everything else is too narrow at the front!). I've read on here before people speculating that the Flexlites have not changed a great deal from 12 -> 18 -> 4.0, would be nice to know if the fit is the same before buying a pair of 4.0's (no where carries Flexlites around here).

I have a question between the Pro and the normal 4.0. Does both skate come with a composite outsole? Or does the 4.0 pro come with a carbon composite outsole? From What I've read to sum it all up is that the 4.0 pro is stiffer, and a thinner tongue?

From what I can gather, the two skates should be the same for this year, the PRO is a Europe only model. Seems like Bauer tends to have similar spec equipment that they just rebrand for the European market.

Meaning that the Euro Pro and the US model will be the same? meaning even more that the US model will be a "pro" from last year?

I am really starting to consider these skates, as I am currently using a pair of Quest V-Force pro stock's that I love (even tried to replace them with one90 pro's and one90 S9 pro's and ummmmm NOT gonna happen). Right now I am almost sold on a pair of one95 Pro's, but am really liking that these have that "old classic Nike fit" that I have read about elsewhere, and I am one that actually loved the old Nike wheels...

I was rocking 10.EE in both one90's, so what sizing should I consider in the Flexlite pro's? I have read here that it seems sizing is quite different...10.5-11 US shoes size here...

Cheers

I understand that the D width flexlite = EE in supremes, but would the heel in EE supremes also be wider than in D flexlites?

This is probably a stupid question...maybe its just getting late!

I tried on a pair of flexlite 4.0s, which felt really good, but am concerned they might not be stiff enough so will try to find some Pro's i think.

I have tried on both the new line supreme line recently and the flexlite fit. From my perspective the supreme had a bit tighter of a heel lock opposed to the supreme but I have to say the Flexlite's were wide!!!!

I'm interested in going with the flexlite 4.0 pro's. I finally located a shop in my area that carries them but they only have a 7.5 D in stock. I'm wearing a 8.0 EE bauer 8090 skate now which fits perfect. How much of a size jump is there between the 8090's and flexlites?

You found a tighter heel in EE supreme compared to Flexlite in D width?

Does anyone know if this is the same in the Vapor line?

Thanks,

Yes, a EE supreme's heel is narrower then a flexlite in D width but I have no clue about EE flexlite as I never tried them on. I wear vapors X:40's at the moment the heel usually gave me blisters on the inside heel and imo I think the heels between supreme and vapor are similar but supremes a tad wider.

Rinkside Sports in Brandon, FL has some 7.5 D's.

I found the Flexlites to have the ankle packs too far back. Felt like they were pressing my ankle bone forward on the outside of my feet.
