Recommended Posts

My brother is wondering if tblades fit on graf g5s without drilling any extra holes? Thanks for the help.

Drilling holes really isn't that big of a deal. Does absolutely nothing to the integrity of the skate. Just take 'em to your LHS, and BAM! Done.

Thanks guys, my bro isn't to thrilled about people drilling holes into his skates, but I guess it's better than having cobra holders lol.

Just thought I'd add my experience. I've had a couple of pairs of graf's to which I replaced the cobra holders with tuuks. I wasn't happy with the result either time; they just didn't seem to work right. As the original holders on bauer skates, I like the tuuks a lot, and prefer them to the cobra holders. Like a lot of people, I find the cobra's too forward pitched for me. For me, I probably should have just gotten the cobra blades re-radiused. On my last pair of graf's, the tuuk ls2's came out with a very rearward pitch; much more so than the blades on stock bauers. The holders seemed to be lined up fine, so I'm not sure what the problem was.

After skating on cobras, everything is going to have a "very rearward pitch."

Profiling or a heel lift easily solves the problem.

The thing was, the rearward pitch on the tuuks on the grafs was much more pronounced than the pitch on the bauers that came with the tuuks. The tuuks on the bauers seem much more neutral to me.
