For golfers - What's in the bag?

Recommended Posts

Tried a few different searches, but didn't find anything like this.

I'd imagine that there are more than a few golfers in here. I was wondering what kids of golf clubs/equipment you use (and what you like/don't like about 'em).

Taylor made... Burner Plus Iron.... There older.... bought them in like 97, but thye feel as good as any club I;ve looked at since. Big Bertha Driver... with custom graphite shaft... again, a bit old, but still cranks it out there.

I carry a 2 iron and BIg Bertha 3 wood. SW and PW. Oh yeah, and a custom beer holder.

I walk the course, hate carts. Carts ruin the experience.....

Driver: Taylor Made R7 SuperQuad TP or Titleist 983E (depending on how I'm swinging)

5 Wood: Nike Sasquatch 2 15.5 (Very nice club. High flight.)

2 Iron: Titleist 731PM (Works fine, nothing special)

3-PW: Titleist 735CM Chrome (Great irons, love the progressive set.)

SW, LW: Titleist Vokey Spin Milled (Simply the best. There's a reason everybody loves them.)

Putter: Scotty Cameron Studio Style Newport 2 (Great putter but expensive)

Being LH is a bit rough because it limits your options when looking for clubs.

Searched for another thread, didn't find it. I haven't been around forever, so I apologize if there is.

Driver- Titleist 905r 8.5 degree with Proforce V2 shaft (xx flex). I keep coming back to this one. Bombs it, forgiving enough for me.

Nickent 15 degree fairway woor/hybrid

Nickent 3dx rc irons - my iron play is a disaster, so I needed something to dumb it down a bit. Hope these work.

Sand and Lob Wedges - Taylor Made R7 - don't really love 'em or hate 'em

Putter (Putt lefty) Mizuno Bettinardi A02 - Fave club. Great feel.

Balls - Whatever's on sale (and not way above my game)

Driver: Taylor Made R9 TP Motore F1 75g

1 Hybrid: Taylor Made Rescue TP 15 DEG

3 Hybrid: Taylor Made Rescue TP 19 DEG

Irons: Taylor Made R7 TP 4-PW

Wedge: Taylor Made Z TP 52

Wedge: Taylor Made Z TP 56

Wedge: Taylor Made Z TP 60

Putter: Taylor Made Rossa Core Lambeau

Balls: Bridgestone Tour B330

Love the heads on every club, but my swing speed with a driver is between 119-123mph so i need stiffer shafts in everything. Looking at some 6.5 rifles in my irons and hybrids, and a whiteboard 73x in the r9.

Driver: Taylor Made Tour Burner TP 9.5* Stiff Fujikura Robamax 75g

3 Wood: Taylor Made Tour Burner

Irons: Nike Victory Red Full Cavity 3-PW

Wedges: Taylor Made Z TP 52*, 56*, 60*

Putter: Titleist Scotty Cameron Newport 2

Balls: Either Taylor Made TP Red or Titelist Pro V1x

I also have a Taylor Made Burner Rescue 3 Hybrid which is 19* so its more like a 2 iron, but I can't hit it for the life of me so I tend to leave it out of the bag.

I love my irons and wedges, still adjusting to the driver and 3 wood, may move to something with a little more traditional shape. I'm also in between on what to do about my driver shaft, my swing speed is in the 110 - 112 mph range so I'm right on the line between Stiff and X flexes. I can get the speed up higher, but the problem is when I do that I tend to slide into the ball and block everything right so I don't know if going to an X is the right move
