msander 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2004 Good ol' Campbell and Reece Biology. That was my first year Bio textbook as well. Enjoy first year and be drunk as much as possible. Third year with the MCAT written, the DAT to write, whores of courses and about 15 med and dental school applications to get done in the next short while is nowhere near as lively...I promise. I actually lucked into the only dorm with suite style rooms for freshman. Just wish there was a way to get rid of my mono invested roommate and his hardcore christian bible thumping morals. Fedorov91 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2004 Yea, theres definitely pros and cons to having a sinle dorm vs. sharing w/ someone but I'd say this has been working out pretty good so far, plus my classes are pretty hard so I figured I could use the privacy and quiet time. I think I'm falling behind :( I'm doing fine in my English and Psych but I'm behind in my Math & Bio/Chem... did any of you guys not do so well your 1st semester? My cousins have a house 10 mins from the college and 20 from the university so I have a good place to be. I already have a room set up because I spend alot of time there. That's South Carolina for ya ;) Man you guys just put an ass wooping on us last week. I went to USF, graduated, but still a proud alumni. Man looking at your dorm rooms brings back some great memories. HEy living by yourself you dont have to worry about your roommate stealing your last beer, food, or whatever he or she wants at the time. Are you guys doing the fraternity thing or staying GDI... Word of advise, loet the equipment dry outside while your laying out at the pool or something as hockey oder in the room doesnt help with the females...PS you frig is well stocked with the needed fluids, beer and redbull( could use some vodka for the redbull though)Have fun, be smart, and study hard. Yeah, we really loaded up on you guys...it could have been a lot worst, but Holtz never called a passing play when Williamson was one on one with the CB. Well I really don't have to worry about my roommate stealing my booze, since he thinks alcohol is the devil. I think I pissed him off today, when he asked if he could play my PS2 and I told him to go buy his own controller since I didn't want to get mono. I was thinking about joining a frat, but decided I'd make sure my grades were in order before I seriously considered. Wearing letters out and meeting brothers from other places or meeting alumni and making connections. I needed a fridge for my apt this year and while I was hope shopping, the store owner came up to me. He turned out to be a pi kapp and we talked for an hour and he ended up giving me a new frig for FREE. And anothe nice thing is all those parties, girls, etc...
