Opinion on an old Easton CNT stick please.

Recommended Posts

I know this stick is old. Very old in fact.

Don't really know if there is something up with my browser but when I use the Search function... It brings me up to page one of the "Ice Hockey Equipment" category which means I can't search up old threads for information :( ... So please bare with me.

So at the moment I play with a Nike-Bauer ONE95 2 piece - malkin curve & for a back up- A Easton SE16 - Zetterberg curve.

These are both real similar curves.... I've been meaning to try out the IGINLA curve though... Without trying to spend lots of money on a composite stick ya know?

I ran across a Easton Stealth CNT stick on eBay. It's an iginla curve & it is indeed brand new! only for 50$'s + 20 shipping... real cheap...

Before I buy it ( 3 days left b4 auction ends ) Can anyone fill me in on HOW the Easton stealth CNT stick performed on the ice?

Do they snap easily? is the stick a low flex point stick like most new eastons?

If anyone can please answer these questions it would be great. 70$'s I figured is decent enough but I definitely don't wanna be wasting it if the stick didn't perform well for any previous CNT owners.

Thanks again in advance for your answers.

Great stick. I still have one I use. The original Stealths are the best, followed by the CNT, then the S17 IMO.

i.e.: they get progressively worse each year, yet cost more. haha

I actually have an Iginla 100 flex, great curve, love it. Its a pretty closed mid curve, not very big at all and a semi square toe fairly medium length blade with a lie around 5 ? Im not sure the exact number but its close to a 5 on some of the other sticks ive used.

Great sticks, love them. I prefer them over the original stealths honestly, they feel more balanced. There insanely balanced and light (not as light as the originals) but they feel lighter, i would also pay $240+ for one.

Best one piece of all time. I'd pay $240+ for an 85 RH Drury.

+1 only in LH.

Very durable and great performance IMO. Definitely worth it.

Thanks for all the replies :-)

Guess ima have to drop the 70$ on this stick.

I generally use the 87/85 flex. Can't seem to find a CNT 85 flex anywhere... So the 100 will have to do.

You're too late....I just bought the stick. You snooze, you lose! :)

The Stealths are usually softer than their stated flex, so you should be fine.

ooooh. That's just a nasty burn TML lol.

Ya I wanna say that I agree with your "softer flex" comment. I tried one out at my local hockey shop ( righty- Drury curve 100 flex ) & it was bending significantly much more than I expected it to... Either that or I've been eating me wheaties :-X

I have a CNT also. 85 flex, Drury curve. I absolutely despise the curve, but I like the shaft. It similar to the XN10 because it has great feel and I personally like the more "square" shaft. The Iginla is a great curve also. I had it on my orange Synergy Si-Core a few years back

I'd reccomend picking it up on ebay, these sticks are pretty hard to find. I just got lucky last August when I found one at my LHS, originally priced at 220, but I talked to the manager and got it down to 180.

I posted my new Heatley CNT RH 85 flex for sale. Hate to get rid of it without even using it but I have too many sticks around now to justify keeping it.
