t1tan 19 Report post Posted July 13, 2009 Didn't want to make another thread, but perhaps does anybody have one of the straight cut Itech/Bauer visors on a 9500 that would be willing to post pictures?Trying to decide between Oakley Straight Small and the HS22 Straight cut and haven't been able to get both side by side to make a decision. Thanks

Got it hit with a few pucks, let me say there pretty hard. Dont crack very easy and pretty scratch proof. They look great and do the job great, if there in your price range i would go with one over an itech/bauer. They look phenomenal and there of great quality. I have quite a few oakley products and there all well made (sunglasses, ski goggles, dirtbike goggles, visors). You cant go wrong with an oakley.

$m0k3 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2009 I bought a Bauer half shield before they bought out Itech, feels exactly the same.
JR Boucicaut 3805 Report post Posted July 14, 2009 It's the same shield, just different stickers and whatnot.I prefer Oakley but nothing wrong with Itech. Hell, check the fine print on the box/literature. You'll see an Oakley reference there
JMart10 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2009 What about Torspo visors? Any quality difference among them and Oakley and Itech. I think they are $10 or $15 cheaper...
t1tan 19 Report post Posted July 17, 2009 Pretty sure I'll end up going with an Oakley Straight Small, just wondering, do they include the spacers now or am I going to have to get them separately? I was pretty sure I read they come with the visors now but it's been a while since I've looked into it.

t1tan 19 Report post Posted July 17, 2009 Thanks I appreciate it, turning 23 on the 31st and my parents still ask for a list of things I need/want so I figured I'd add a visor and was debating to add a set of spacers as well, haha.
KryptOng 9 Report post Posted July 17, 2009 happy early bday! All Oakley and Itech visors (from retail anyways) come with spacers, screws and bolts. If it doesn't you're getting scammed!I'm actually in need of extra spacers and the screws for my extra visors. May have to make my way to my lhs to pick up some.On another note:I've noticed lately that the Itech/Bauer HS22 Straight used by Pros (Kane, Stamkos) does not look the same as the HS22 Straight Retail model. The Pro model appears to come down lower and "bubbles" out more compared to the 2 retail Itech Straights I have. IMO it looks too "rounded" to be an Oakley Straight. Maybe JR can confirm this?Pics below:

Though, I think Kane and Steven Stamkos are using two different half shield's.Is it possible that Kane is using an Oakley Pro Straight Hockey Visor dressed up as an Itech HS22 Straight Cut Half Shield?
