Help, Looking for Nike Quest 1's

Recommended Posts

Hey, I'm going to be playing college roller hockey and my Quest 3's are beat to hell. No ankle support left or anything. I'm really looking for Nike Quest 1 Hi-Lo's in a 10.5 or 11. Anyone know someplace I can find some? I called HockeyMonkey and they're all out and same with Hockeygiant. I tried Ebay too. Or even if anyone knows someplace with a good deal on the V-12's I might have to get those. Thanks guys

Yea, I need a 10 or 10.5 D... <_< but thanks tho

I heard that my team gets a discount with Nike/Bauer and we get stuff "at cost", I'm not sure about the details of it since I just made the team but I'll have to look into that. You think the "at cost" price on some Hi-Ho's would be under $200?

Either way, whether it is store cost of the manufacturers cost, you'll most likely be getting the skates for $200 or less. The store markup is roughly 50%

Store markup is rarely 50%

The Hi-Ho EE is wider than anything I've ever used before. My heels are swimming in them and they are causing major blisters. I've worn EE in all my skates, Mission, Bauer, CCM and now I'm in a pair of 609 in a wide width so it may be out of the question for some of the users of the board. Just a heads up so nobody is left with a problem like mine, however the performance of the skates are amazing. I've never had this much forward flex.

I think I'm just going to end up getting the HI-Ho's or Bauer 20-90's for $240. They both seem like really good skates. Anybody know if one of them is "better" than the other (better materials, stiffness, performance?) I've heard that that the Nikes are very comfortable but I havent heard anything about the Bauers. The Nikes also have ABEC-9's, Bauer has 7's but I doubt that makes much difference. Any input is appreciated, thanks.

Oh, one more question. Does anyone know the sizing of the newer skates? If I fit a 10.5 in the Quest I should fit a 10.5 in the Hi-Ho's I'm assuming but I just want to be sure. Is Bauers sizing different than Nikes on inlines?

Cannot compare the HiHo's to the Quest, but I know they fit a size larger than the Nexed Stingers and the Graf 704's as well....My son wore 9's in both of those (the Graf's were slightly tighter than the Nexed's at size 9) and fit a size 8 in the HiHo's perfectly..he was shocked..wears shoe size 10 - 10.5

The Nike Quest 1's and Hi-Ho's have different sizing. I wear a size 10 in the Quest 1's and a size 8.5 in Roller Daddy's. The newer Nike's also have a wider toe box that I like much more.

Hi Ho's are probably sold out in D throughout the US

Hi Ho 2 will be out in early November nationwide, new chassis, gold rink rat hornets, abec 9, heat moldable - almost the same as last year cosmetically

New 30-90's will be out then as well, yellow trinity wheels, heat moldable, new chassis, abec 9, vapor XXX-like sublimation look upper

Nike size down 2 and Bauer 1.5 from a Nike sneaker. Both are tighter in the heel and wider in the forefoot - the Mega's even a little more than the Nike

hope this helps, where are you playing college?
