I heard he plays for the cleveland barons, if that's true his team was ranked 29th last season. (AAA rankings) anyway, that must mean this kid isn't horrible, but hey, we don't know how good he is.

Sadly, he might be one of those kids that gets stuff from his parents because they don't pay attention to him

That's the kicker, I don't dislike the kid, but I feel bad if that's the situation. Growing up in a middle class family in a really crappy neighborhood, I always got teased because we were better off, and my parents did buy me a lot of stuff (no siblings). I think it fostered too much materialism on my part, definitely not blaming them, but I was too focused on the material side of life (and still am, still struggle with it). Of course, I moved to a really nice neighborhood and saw the situation from the other side, so I got some perspective.

But like I said, I think the kid would do better if he showed a little tact and restraint in flaunting the stuff online, as I think a lot of the negative thrown his way is jealousy or resentment from the perceived bragging. And if he did show some more videos about playing hockey rather than just buying hockey gear, more people would cut him some slack, as his priorities would seem a little more normal.

I think there is some jealousy here...he just shows off his gear stash on youtube instead of MSH.

By the way, this kid plays AAA and could probably skate circles around most of you trash talkers. (Or will be able to in a few years)

Thats another thing i dont understand, this aaa stuff. I played aaa most of my hockey carreer i dont see it as a big deal. I hear all these kids bragging about it all the time like there going to make the show or something because there in aaa, i had the option of going midget aaa but i went midget aa and got quite a bit more ice time. Again, aaa just isnt as fun to me. I had all this pressure on me at a young age and after awhile i really didnt enjoy hockey that much anymore. Aa is a lot more fun in my opinion, just because someones aaa doesnt mean anything, half the kids where i live get there parents to kiss ass so there kids can get on the team.

Lol, not bashing AAA hockey because I myself play it, but it seems today every kid plays "AAA" with all these new teams popping up everywhere especially where I live. If daddy's little boy doesn't make a team he can just start his own right? Everything is watered down now.

Didn't perron get cut from his midget AAA team? AAA isn't all that it's made out to be, at least out by me

Yes he did. Hell, he even got cut from his A team. It's not about where you play, but instead your love for the game and having confidence in yourself. Pretty much the DP story in a nutshell
