2 piece pro pants

Recommended Posts

I thought the Bauers were on the heavy side, at least in the hip protection. CCM/RBK 520 is a solid two piece pant, as well as the HP7000. I also have some Eastons and they do the job as well. As long as you aren't partial to girdles (though you could still wear the bottom of a two piece pant as a shell if you wanted a bit of added protection), you can't really go wrong with any two piece pant as long as it is the right size.

I don't know what Bauers you saw but they are BY FAR the least bulky/protective in the uppers. They are extremely lightweight. Bauer's retail pant has more hip protection than the pro model does.

my euro pro pants with the ads on them were tanks. I ended up removing a lot of the upper padding.

Is there an advantage to 2-piece pants over regular pants, apart from being able to mix/match sets and put different teams lowers on the bottom? I see a lot of pro stock lowers on eBay from different teams, lately there've been a lot of Lightning and Red Wings lowers.
