Stealth in Stock in Edmonton

Recommended Posts

you might want to scope out Cupolo's, they seem to sell everything in US dollars. You can get deals but they're a bit shady.

They're a good shop. I ordered my Pure Fly's from them and they put on Lightspeeds for $20 and then shipped them for free after all of that.

whats so great about the stealth? any special features, etc..........?

The main thing is the weight on it. That's the feature that it's recognized for.

I just used mine last night for the first time. It is light as a feather, you have a wicked hard shot without much effort, and due to the weight my poke checks were ridculously lightning fast. Guys were trying to skate past me and wham! I was sniping the puck away and by the time I was skating away with puck, which ended up behind them, they didn't know what happened. You can fling this stick around like a magic wand. The balance is very, very good.

The Stealth are 314.99 at United Cycle if you tell the cashier your phone number and ask for the 10% discount. United Cycle raised the price on Si-Cores this year to 309 or something, last year I got one for $200 there.

Translation, more flex than a 100 flex would normally have. The funny thing is the more kick you put in a stick, the less accurate it is. It is no different than golf shafts.

Today I went to my LHS and they had the stealth marked up for the same price as a sicore grip. Is that some kind of mistake or am I missing something? Werent they supposed to be like 50 bucks more. It was $319 cdn at source for sports pickering.

Retailers seem to be marking this one up big time from place to place. The price difference varies quite a bit.

I have seen it as much as $210 US. Thanks but no thanks ...

It's really kind of amazing on the prices of these sticks. Think about it...these sticks are made in Mexico of all places. It probably doesn't cost Easton more than $50 (if that) to produce one of these sticks. Does anyone know how much it costs Easton, Louisville, CCM, etc to make an OPS? But I shouldn't complain seeing that I have two Stealths. I got the Team USA one off of eBay & a used Brett Hull one from the Red Wings. The Hull one is interesting because Easton didn't make any Stealths for him. The nameplate is painted over with silver paint & JJC 17 is written in with a Sharpie. The name underneath Hull's: Yzerman 19. I didn't scrape off the paint, but can read Yzerman's name through it.

Another case in point: I bought a new, unused Datusyk Si-Core from the Red Wings equipment sale for only $99.00. So you can see that these sticks probably don't cost all that much to make. I do have a question about that one if anyone can help me. It's a regular orange Si-Core, but it feels like there is grip on it. Does anyone know if Easton made some grip Si-Cores in orange accidently, or if this was on purpose?

Basically I just think it's amazing concerning the prices of these sticks, considering where they're made, etc.

This is a big reason why hockey is losing in popularity esp in the States. No one can see buying their kids sticks that can easily break, and other equipment that cost in the hundreds of dollars.

Pros had the option of gripping their Si-Cores...however most of the time they were just regular SyNergy Grips painted orange...:o

There is so many factors you have to take in...it's much more than the actual cost of making the sticks...

No, the problem is that they ARE buying them...and they are forgetting that there are cheaper options. The OPS has almost become a default stick, and then you go "Well, how about a shaft and blade" and it's like they forgot those were still made...

Good point about that JR (about there being other options other than OPS). Plus a lot of people are follow the "everyone's doing it, so why not me?" policy. If my favorite pro player is using an OPS, then maybe I should be too so I can be just like him. Thus, they end up "forgetting" there are other, more affordable options out there that can give them the same results.

I'm going to have to check on that Si-Core that I have to see what is printed on Easton's UPC sticker. I could have sworn the sticker was marked "Datsuyk Pro SC" which I assume is Si-Core, but maybe it's just Easton's way for us to believe that it's a Si-Core.

At first I thoght they were going to be garbage but after feeling it and flexing it I want to by one.

I did at one point also, but like you said, after you feel them, they're pretty nice. $200 is a lot though.

Trojanmgr - you will have to look at the blade. The Si-Core has a different weave than the regular SyNergy blade.

JR, I compared the Si-Core blade with an old gold grip Synergy that I have. The weaves do look different. The Si-Core is more of a checkerboard weave, while the Synergy is not (unless the yellow grip Synergy is a checkerboard, I would have to check one out at a store). Also, the Si-Core blade has a rough texture, while the Synergy is smooth.

Does anybody think that the Stealth is really whippy? Because I was flexing an 100 flex and it felt like my 75 Synthesis.

Some kid bought one from some store in Tampa...$220...ouch...

He comes in all bragging "The performance rating is OFF THE METER...11 out of 10!"

I'm gonna laugh so hard once he snaps it...

I have never had a stick so good. I dont know why all these people keep on saying that it's terrible. The only problem with it is that there is a little bit to much swing in my slapshot due to the lightness. But the stickhandling is the best and the wrist and snap shot are awesome. If you got the money buy it.

I saw that measurement and thought of the Movie "Spinal Tap." 11 is one greater ... :D

Concerning the blades, by the way you describe it, it sounds like the 2003/2004 Synergies. If you compared to a 2002 Synergy, it will be different. I think it is a 2003 Synergy Grip with Z-Tac painted orange

Easton loooves Ripping Off the Canadiens, eh! How the hell can they justify selling the stick for 85 more US dollars? I could see charging a bit more because of shipping, but Easton reeeally capitalizes (rather, takes advantage) of the fact Canadiens are so die-hard in love with hockey.

$350 Canadien is $274.66 US. Hockeymonkey, who is usally a really good barometer, is selling the Stealth for $189.99

You Canadiens are being ripped off by Easton, what a freaking crime.

Hmmmmm... interesting Ryan does not have any comment to this thread. Not that he is in charge of Canadien Price Point Marketing, but some type of feedback would be welcomed... if not warranted, however; we would all and do understand why none was given. However, if a new member, with no previous history or affiliation to Easton were to log on and post some semblence of an explanation of an answer, we at modsqaud would truly honor and respect whatever response from anonymous source that may be <_< :P B)

Silent Bob turns to Jay and smiles :D
