Yes, we know there'll be a Warrior helmet...

"The Shining Purple Warrior"? "Domer"? "Similar Name that Alludes to the Male Genitalia"?

Watch out, people might be skating with a helmet that make their head look like a dick head.

And yes, they'll still buy it because it says "Warrior" on it.

Guys, these are suggested retail prices not street prices. Since that is what is being talked about in the case of the new M11 helmet, I am trying to compare apples to apples. We all know that by the time they hit the street the price will be lower.

Those prices i listed are the minimum they can sell them for, and unless a shop wants to go out of business and have all their business go to hockeymonkey and totalhockey, they need to keep there prices at that price as well. shops aren't allowed to sell products unless it has been discontinued bellow a minimum price (MAP). They can have specials but they cannot advertise the price of the product or a percentage off a certain product (ie; 30% off Easton helmets, or S17 for $80, etc) unless they feel like getting wrath from a company.

Perhaps. There are two types of pricing in the US, MAP is only for advertised price. It's perfectly legal for them to sell beneath that and Easton can't punish them if they do as long as they don't advertise it. That's what those "call for price" lines are for. In store you can charge less, my dad got his U+ pro reloaded for below MAP in store.

However, in the US, manufactures can fix a minimum price now- but not many do since it usually results in stores stocking less of their product since it's harder for them to clear out if they need to. But that's different then MAP- if Easton uses MAP and not a fixed price floor, stores can charge less in store, which is what I would guess the $75 deal is.

I have no clue how this works with Canadian law, but in the US manufacturers couldn't fix a price if they wanted to until a supreme court ruling about a year ago.

Helmet looks pretty good apart from the white vent holes. The one's on the website with the black vents look way better IMO, because the helmet doesn't look as big. In all white it looks like a spaceman helmet.

Not really all that bad IMO. It's a little bigger, but not crazy enough you're going to notice from a distance.

I should also add that the old cascade had a bit of a bad rep that wasn't really that justified, I had a teammate who had one and it didn't look that bad shapewise- the black panel on the back of a white helmet looked stupid though.

It might have helped that's he's around 6'6" with a huge build that helped put the helmet in proportion, but still...

does anyone know the color combos this helmet will be offering?

the chx had so many different options, but seeing as this is more of a 1 piece shell, i dont know if they are offering it in multiple colors.

ps- if anyone on here gets this helmet in blue, plz post the pics.

see there is half the problem right there... no one does their chin straps up properly. Helmet stays on head, head doesn't hit ice imo

It really is a comfort issue, at least for me. If I do it anywhere close to tight it cuts into my throat- the loops just put the strap too far back. I wear a cage properly tight, so that keeps it on, but I certainly understand why players don't tighten it. If they do, it's flat out painful, especially if you try to look down.

I don't mind the cage and the chin cup on that at all, nor do I mind bike helmets. But I cannot tighten the chin strap on a hockey helmet without it hurting me.

If you want more people to tighten them, you need to design them better.

The 480 seems to fit about everything. You should be fine.

I'll probably buy this helmet. I have had a good experience with their lacrosse helmets so I am interested in trying this lid for hockey.
