carolinahockeyplayer 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2009 I did a search but wasn't able to find anything on these gloves, probably because of their new-ness. If anyone has seen a pair in person I was wodering if the palms on these were similiar to the palms on the franchise gloves? Also in the description warrior gives I am confused as to what the outer material of the glove iis, could anyone clarify this for me? Thanks for any and all help/advice. carolinahockeyplayer 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2009 I've been hearing some negative things about these gloves (bad feel, etc.) so i guess I'll go back to looking at eagle gloves then, would you recommend portofino or carbon? Also which would you consider a better glove (quality, performance, etc.) the x90i with a clairno palm or the x72i with the msh2 palm
K9 Unit 1 Report post Posted October 20, 2009 i have a feeling you'll be chirped so much for wearing that glove lol it just looks so bad...msh2 palm is the best palm out there, go by how you like the fit but if it was me i'll get the x72i
Officer Dangle 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2009 I actually feel the opposite. I think it would be a great looking glove without the lines and whatnot. I wish my local Pure Hockey had these in stock, or just had more gloves in stock in general. I'd definitely like to try 'em on.

Im used to wearing nylon all the time and to be honest im not even sure what they call the outer material my franchise gloves are made from.
Officer Dangle 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2009 Are they retail Franchises? I believe they were only available in carbon at the retail level. They'd be shiny and plasticy-feeling, and have a bunch of little squares in the material (sorry for the terrible discription, ahah.) The other two materials are Tufftek, which is similar to Nylon, and Portofino, which is similar to leather. Those two are pretty self explanatory, lolol. These do look to me like a XXX to XXXX style glove. Anyone actually worn them instore/from a rep?
Leafsrule16 5 Report post Posted October 20, 2009 Portofino is nice, i would recommend it over carbon any day. I think tufftek is the best color as long as its dark though, its the lightest and most durable. A problem though is that white especially can get dirty real fast and look bad. Portofino is a good second choice, carbon tends to look tacky and scuff up super easy. It's not half bad for accents and what not, but i woudlnt get a whole carbon glove. carolinahockeyplayer 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2009 Sorry to get off topic a little bit but after looking at eagle gloves I am kind of confused what the major difference is between eagle ppf's and the older model x72's with the msh2 palms? I know i read somewhere the x72's had a msh2 palm with a msh1 overlay (?) but on the website for the gloves i was looking it it does not say that anywhere in the description. This is probably a dumb question so sorry if it is an obivious answer.
eric42434224 1 Report post Posted October 21, 2009 I think the difference between PPF and x72 is the fit.
grp 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2009 Between the x72 and the PPF there are a few difference..1. X72 cuff is shorter my probably 1"2. X72 Gussets not MSH2 is a mesh material PPF full MSH23. X72 near impossible to find retail Tuftek4. Fit is i would say very close if anything x72 fits closer to a 13.5/13.75" because of shorter cuff( I found fingers a bit shorter) then the 14" PPF
number18 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2009 sorry to get back on topic lol but i tried this glove on today at my lhs and i was really impressed with it. i didn't think i would be when i first saw it. but it was a very comfortable glove and the fingers were very very easy to move. and it really didn't look that bad up close. i'm not going to buy it cuz i like my nbh 4-rolls and bully gloves but i was very impressed with the eraser pro

bostonbruins 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2009 They look like lacrosse gloves to me.. Anyone else seeing it? I see what you are talking about but keep in mind that Warrior makes lacrosse equiptment so they could be made similar to Warrior lacrosse gloves.
the iceman 132 Report post Posted October 22, 2009 I assume that if there was a pro-stock model of these gloves, then they would NOT have all of the graphics printed on the glove?
Jason 65 Report post Posted October 30, 2009 Does anyone know what other colors these will be available in? Also, will they fit close like a One95 or loose like a Franchise? Probably hard questions to answer at this point.
number18 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2009 other then the blue/grey/black and the white/grey/black i saw black with red and grey. and black with grey and white at my lhs.
