Jofa 366 Helmet

I am looking for an Xmas present for my brother this year. His favorite player has always been Mario Lemieux and was thinking of what to get him.

Are these pretty much impossible to get these days. I have seen the 390s for sale on some websites but never any 366s.

I'd say your best bet is ebay. I highly doubt you would find something like that on Hockeymonkey or giant.

You'll get a 390 from eBay for cheap, its pretty much the same if you dremmel the ear protection out.

This is somewhat off topic but related. I was playing in a roller hockey game at a local rink in Pittsburgh, and the ref tried to sit a kid that was wearing a 390. He said that the rink had banned Jofa helmets, because they were deemed unsafe....for roller hockey??!! It was pretty hilarious. Those helmets are HECC certified and were really popular in the NHL for years. The kid got to keep playing, but definitely amusing.

Outside of the 690, they have all been discontinued longer than their certification period and the 690 is going to be coming up on that soon too. As it is, I believe they stopped paying for certification and they are no longer on the HECC approved list.

They still have the 690 in Sweden relabeled under the Reebok logo. Same helmet, different logo. You may be able to find a website that sells it and have one shipped over.
