just fyi, there's no buying or selling outside of the buy/sell/trade forums. you have to reach a certain number of posts before you gain access to it as of now, and the rules may be changing in the near future. just giving you a heads up in case this gets deleted or locked.

best bet would probably be to check eBay often, they come up pretty regularly. The Reebok line is built of Jofa technology though.

I agree with the previous posters. The 9K is about as close your going to get to the 8000/9000 series shoulder pads and they are pretty readily available presently. Have a look at the new 10K's though because Reebok has increased the mobility of their shoulder pads considerably with their newest series of shoulder pads. I bought the new 6K's for my son and he absolutely loves them. He found them much more flexable than his old shoulder pads. He's been wearing Jofa/Reebok religiously since starting hockey so he noticed the difference almost immedialtely.

You could go down to the 8 or 6K's if the 10's are too expensive and still get very good protection. RBK shoulder pads are consistently great protection right across the board for most levels of hockey.

from what ive seen of this years reebok 6K shoulder pads im very impressed. they look to have all the bells and whistles of the 10k minus a grip liner i do believe, with a more low profile, stream lined protection. if i were to ever jump back into playing full i contact i would pick up the 6k's for sure, and from pee wee all the way up to jr b ive used jofa shoulder pads

For a company that just jumped into the hockey game a few years ago, reebok makes an incredible product. I use their gloves and helmet

I've got a shot at buying some pro 8700 shoulders and wanted comments from users on performance. Thanks.

If they fit snag'em. There my personal favorit model of shoulder pads. I actually just got a pair of Pro 6700's today (same thing but older graphics black and orange not the navy).

For Los Angeles and SOCAL, was just at Jake's Custom Pro Shop in El Segundo and they have what looked like 15 pairs of new Jofa shoulders. Saw 8700, 700 and 5500....nice selection

Just bought a slightly used pair of pro stock SR Large 8700 Jofa shoulder pads off of ebay for 8 bucks. There were two pairs of larges left, both sold now, and one XL left (http://cgi.ebay.com/NHL-Pro-Stock-Jofa-RBK-6K-Hockey-Shoulder-Pads-SR-XL-/270667424935?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f050924a7) if anyone wants a sweet deal on these pads

That last pair is also gone. I couldn't help myself.

When they come in I'll make a seperate thread for a review or something. I've been dieing to get some Jofa protective. Now I just need elbows and shins haha.

Charles, do you think they look beat up? I know they're "used", but they certainly aren't trash
