Bravada 442 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2010 Just got finished watching this game. UNBELIEVABLE game. Tough for the US to have a 4-2 lead with 10 min left in the 3rd and end up losing.Anyone else see it?
Gummer12 134 Report post Posted January 1, 2010 What a sick move by Kardi in the shootout. An EPIC Game from Start to Finish. And the Short side roofer was a wicked googily too.
mxihockey 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2010 I wanted CK to put in the penalty shot so bad! Great Game.
vek 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2010 Great entertainment, but if Canada doesn't tighten it up defensively, their luck is going to run out sooner than later. Hopefully this puts a scare into them and they'll play a more complete game next time around.
Gummer12 134 Report post Posted January 1, 2010 And how about the guy shooting for the Million? Hits two posts that would've gotten him the Win. That's still pretty damn good from the far blue line.

KevinVu19 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2010 Too many from Canada, It was Ellis's worst game so far... also Schenn was playing that great.number 19 for USA, is what I think was the best player from both teams.

Hockeyman11385 1 Report post Posted January 1, 2010 Definitely an excellent game. Canada had way too many turnovers. The coach must have been pulling his hair out.

caldakid 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2010 Can't believe this isnt more popular outside of the canada, the hockey is so good at the tournament. So much heart.
RadioGaGa 162 Report post Posted January 3, 2010 Can't believe this isnt more popular outside of the canada, the hockey is so good at the tournament. So much heart. It's a big deal in the European countries. The year it was in Latvia...their fans were CRAZY...and their team sucked. It will be interesteing to see how it goes in Buffalo next year. Grand Forkes, ND was decent (if I recall) but Western New York fancies itself a big hockey market. 3rd only to Detroit and Pittsburgh for viewership in teh last 2 Finals, I believe...and they did a helluva job in the first WC...so, I suspect a very "Canadian" feel to the crowds. Ahriman 1 Report post Posted January 3, 2010 Everyone in the USA has extremely limited offerings as far as what hockey is even available to watch. I would love to see the world JRs, they're amazing games, however, I do not have a $250+ a month satellite TV package. And even then, I'd probably have to pay extra to see it. I'm paying less than $100 a month for DirecTV with NHL Center Ice. The WJC is on NHL Network, and you don't even need NHLCI to watch it. Plus, I get all but about 5 Sharks games on Comcast Sports Net. You can also watch games on the internet (ATDHE.net), if you need to.
Ahriman 1 Report post Posted January 3, 2010 $100 *FOR TV PROGRAMMING* might as well be a thousand for the vast majority of people. $100 to blow on TV programing, jesus.
syko_hockey 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2010 The world juniors are going to be great in Buffalo. I think we're a bigger hockey town the Detroit and Pittsburgh. The atmosphere is going to be great also.
vek 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2010 The world juniors are going to be great in Buffalo. I think we're a bigger hockey town the Detroit and Pittsburgh. The atmosphere is going to be great also. I thought that the Sabres were having attendance problems over the last few years? My guess is that Buffalo was selected in large part due to accessibility to Canadian fans, while hopefully getting some added exposure in the U.S. market. I love the WJC - to me, with a few slight modifications, it should be the hockey in the Olympics instead of the professional players.

Stop being so dramatic.
Bravada 442 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2010 $100 *FOR TV PROGRAMMING* might as well be a thousand for the vast majority of people. $100 to blow on TV programing, jesus.Um, No. It is not even close to a thousand dollars for me. And just as an FYI for you since you obviously aren't real aware of your options, you can get the Choice Extra Package from DirecTV for $34.99 a month with the NHL network which would let you see about 8-10 WJC games.
