According to what I have read on these boards, the retail versions are made in Canada. The upcoming Bauer releases are all made in Thailand.

one95 vs one75 -- I'm not expert, but, again from these boards, the one95 skates fit wider in the midfoot area and are a bit deeper for those with higher insteps. A guy at my LHS told me that all of the Bauer Supreme skates fit exactly the same, however. So I don't know what is true.

one95 outer shell is different from one75

one95 is alot stiffer as went back to one75 for 1 night and they felt VERY floppy

one95 tendon guard seems to hold up alot better

I don't want to highjack the thread or make another one for just a simple question. Since you brought up the pro stock thing, what's the deal with the superfit insoles that they put in customs and pro stock, the grey footbed with just superfit on the heel. How is it any different than the standard supreme or vapor footbed?

I'm pretty sure they are the same foot beds. I took the superfeet out of my old skates cause they was only 3 months old and put them in my new ones. That and getting the same profile and hallow on the blades help me switch for a soft graf 727 to a stiff one95.

I only got one blister on the inside of my right heel and I only heat baked them once.

I've been skating in my one95's now about a total of 4 games and 3 hours of practices. During the practice, I got a blister : (

And I had a game the next day, which made things worse.

Do not despair.

WAX LACES. I put on new wax laces before the game, and despite giant (one a dime, the other a quarter) on the inside of my heels on left and right feet, I was fine.

When breaking in skates, especially stiff ones like the one95's you can't tighten them properly all along the eyelets without wax laces. Save yourself some pain, I know I did.

I don't have to skate again until Monday and Tuesday, so I've got another day for my blisters to heal a bit, but regardless, with the wax laces my skates are now locked down enough that I have 0 movement. The reason I got them is because I couldn't tighten skates sufficiently and heel wasn't locking in enough.

Again. Get WAX LACES!

P.S.

The skates are pretty rad. I like em alot. And fwiw, I got 8.5Ds off Ebay. I was frustrated that none of the stores had my size so went online. Even HockeyGiant and HM didn't have my size! 8.5D is afaik the most common size.

for those of you guys who have used both the Vapor XXXX and the one 95 skates. how did you guys find the sizing width wise. i know the skates are a deeper fit and all but right now i fit well into a 8.5 EE Vapor XXXX ( not depth but width) and i was reading post last night and got concerned that the one 95 8.5 EE might be too wide. i would normally be sticking with my vapors but the got blown apart after i took a slapper off the foot. i have pretty wide feet and a stupid high arches. if anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated. also if you think i should stick with the vapor series let me know ( last three pairs of skates were XX's XXX's and now XXXX's)

if vapors work for you I'd stick with vapors - if you wanted something new then X60 fits similar to XXXX

I gave XXXX over a month, baked them twice but just couldn't make them work - they have pretty wide heel & no lock what so ever, fairly narrow forefoot & are also pretty shallow

One95 on the other hand are almost opposite: smaller heel with pretty good heel lock, a wider forefoot + a lot more volume.

length wise both boots were the same for me, but the point is that vapors wouldn't have ever worked for - if I went for EE width my heel would be floating, plus regardles of the width the volume is about the same so it'd continue to be a problem since I couldn't pass the pensil test in XXXX, and do it easily in One95.
