stevelknievel 51 Report post Posted January 19, 2010 ive searched and i keep seeing the flexlites are known for being wider skates. ive got a pair of 4k's right now that ive had for awhile (picked those because i was told that was the widest out there) but they have never been comfortable. ive had them punched out twice in the areas that are killing me but no dice. ive tried lacing looser and tighter and have tried dif footbeds but boot is killing me. are the flexlites any wider than the reeboks? AnthonyJTa 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2010 I went from a 7.5E RBK 9K Pump (I had my 9K's punched too) into a 7.5D Flexlite (Nike/Bauer) and was beyond relieved.... I'm actually thinking of going back to a Flexlite from my Missions.

I fit into EE in prostock xxxx's though with no punching required. I'm going to try some flexlites on soon.

Any help would be much appretiated.
Race4LastPlace 31 Report post Posted February 14, 2010 Had my first skate tonight in my new 4.0 pro's. I started with 9d supreme70's. Went to 9.5d CCM v08's, then 9.5d rbk 9k's. And now i have 9d 4.0 pros. The differences are very noticeable right off the bat. The 4.0 has a ton more volume, and is definitely wider than any of the others. With my 9k's i was getting some heel slippage and just felt a lil tight across the forefoot and toebox. Had absolutely no problems tonight and knew instantly these were the perfect skates for me. The arch is slightly higher than what my foot is, but it didnt bother me too bad, and if it does become a problem, a new insole can solve that easily. Most of the supreme line i have tried were not wide enough, but the 4.0's fit so well and feel so good on my feet.
jeffw 1 Report post Posted February 14, 2010 I thought I had big feet until I tried Flexlites. D width were huge on me.
prokennex 0 Report post Posted February 15, 2010 I skated in Easton C12's 8.5W, and Bauer 6000 8.5 EE. I now have the Flexlite 12's in an 8D and they are wider than either of my other two. I have been measured and I do have wide feet and these skates are the best I have ever had. I am assuming the Flexlite 4.0's are similar.

I've read the replies and alot of people seem to find the Flexlites are plenty wide in D width, however if I pull my Flexlites too tight around the ball of my foot they're still too narrow so the D widths wouldnt have worked for me!Since you LHS carries them you'd just be best off trying them both. Powerfibers 8 Report post Posted February 15, 2010 My feet burst out of Graf 735s, Vapor, Supremes, and the CCM skates. The Flexlites are perfect, wide and deep. Never been happier.
flyboy34 0 Report post Posted February 15, 2010 I had the hardest time trying to find skates for my brother who skates once a week. He is a big guy (6'2", 285, built like a tone linebacker) and was coming from improperly sized custom Graf skates (too big 709s). The FlexLite 4.0's seem to be perfect. Based on the feedback I've received from him, he's never had a better fitting skate out of the box. Once he had them baked and skated on them, the compliments continued. He always had a hard time finding a skate with a lower arch and a wider toe-box. The FlexLite's seem to work perfect for him. Another plus about the FlexLites is they aren't a skate that will break the bank. Very affordable for a mid to upper end skate. If the 4.0 Pros were available, I think he would have purchased those instead, assuming they had the same fit.
