Spezza using S19?

Recommended Posts

He is endorsed by Reebok, used their stick at the beginning of the season, switched back to his Sher-Wood sticks before he was injured and now the Easton "S19" if that is infact what it is.

He did an interview not too long ago on HNIC Radio (Sirius-XM) and said he was playing around with different sticks, but Reebok has agreed to make him his own run of woodies and once completed he is going back to wood.

I guess the composite experiment didn't work out for Spezza. It looks to be working for Crosby.

What, he can't just use the Crosby pattern 1Ks? :o

I love such a premiere level player like Spezza still prefers AND uses wood sticks. Its a bit nostalgic but let it be a message to these young kids that NEED to have the best $250 stick and top notch gear like that. The wood stick was number 1 for a long time and it will always remain around in some form or another. I always have a woodie on backup just in case or if i just wanna use it for that awesome whip that only wood sticks can produce.

It was #1 because there was no other option.

I think the fact that Spezza is one of a single digit number of players still using 'em sends a stronger message.

It doesn't really send any kind of message in my opinion. I mean sure a few players in the NHL use wooden sticks. But like...someone could easily say that 99% of NHLers do use those $250 top of the line composite sticks...

So it's time to buy your kids some $250 high end, top of the line composite hockey sticks!

and he's still better than 85% of the players that use the $250 OPS.

Those handful of games a season he decides to show up.
