Depends on what curve it is. I've had a couple of them and the A curve is very different from the D curve. The A is a very small heel with an open face, the D is similar but curves more at the toe.

Same with the E curve.

Is that the SW or W flex? My A was R flex and the D was S flex.

S = stiff

R = regluar

SW = stiff whip

W = Whip

Click on the "flex chart" button in the menu on top of the screen.

The A to D refers to different revisions of a blade for the same player. Let's say my name is John Doe, my first pattern I get made by TPS will be the Doe A. When later I ask them to change the curve or lie or whatever, the modified curve will be Doe B. And so on.

Stiff Whip is a pro-only flex right now. It's in the 80-85 range.

You say 'right now' - do you know if TPS is planning on producing a SW for retail...or am I reading too much into your comment

I don't know if a similar flex was offered in the past or will be offered in the future.

wouldn't that SW flex be similar to the old TPS XF (extra flex)? a friend of mine has an old TPS rubber with that flex, and it feels around the 85 range...stiffer than present whips, but whippier than 100's.

oh, you could be right. his mighta just been well broken in

The regular flex from TPS is generally inbetween a whip and a 100 flex Easton.

Would you guys say the Pandolfo is a pure mid-curve, or more of a mid-heel?? It's tough for me to tell from the pic.

I'd say mid heel. It looks somewhere between a Modano and Drury.

Do you really think it is that open? I would say between a Modano and a Drury would be the like a mission retail rafalski-- not the curve, but the openess of the face.

Hard to tell from the bad angle. I'm just guessing based on the ones I've had that are pictured. I'm thinking it may be slightly more open than the Modano and maybe a bit more heel. It also looks to be a less rounded curve than the Modano. Then again I could be totally wrong.

I live in Vancouver and the Canucks have an equipment sale every year. If you're a season ticket holder, you get in an hour before the general public. Man oh man, if I was a season ticket holder, I would've bought so much. I was still standing in line when you see this one guy come out with 7 Synergy grips and 3 Vapor XX. $100 cdn a piece. Most are used, but there are some new. I ended up buying Sami Salo's TPS Rubber for $50 cdn. I wanted to buy Mike Keane's Easton Synthesis 100 flex. But this guy got to it before me, flexed it and it snapped. So if you guys drop by Vancouver in the spring of 2005, see if the Canucks are having a sale and try to find a good steal.

An update on the Sullivan's on 1800faceoff.com... I just got two in the mail and they're not XN10's. They're SW Response+'s painted like the XN10. For those of you who would have actually preferred an XN10 don't buy these.
