I'm looking to spend around 200 to mount a pair of Vanguards on them, and i'm currently debating between the 08 Pros with a cosmetic blemish or the 2009 U+ 07s. Both new, about 10 bucks more for the 08 Pros.

Any thoughts?

hey, just take your current footbeds along, match them up... and you should be good, if you have any hot spots, LHS can usually punch then out if you need more after molding. this works for me every time...even after 20 years!

Curious question regarding the ccm u+ line:

Is the U+ a narrow fitting skate ? A lot of people on the boards comment on it being wide and for wider heels. I am curious because I have a pair of U+09's in a D width and was told I have a narrow foot and these skates fit me like a glove. I am curious because I was intrigued by what other brand of skates would fit me best and if the suggestion I received from my LHS was correct.

to me, they seem to have a strange fit. they seem to fit narrowish in the forefoot but wide in the heel...and also seem to be pretty deep fitting. my x60's seem to fit noticeably wider in the forefoot than the U+ Pro's or 09's for that matter.

but i guess like everything else, ymmv.

Reloaded for sure. Love them.

Skated for the first time in over a month (working way too much and away from home lately). My customs are just a godsend. Still quite a bit snug on the midfoot, but after about 15 wears they are getting even more responsive. The combo of this boot with the Tuuk Custom+ holder is heavenly. Now....all I need to find is someone that has a clue on how to sharpen using the FBV.

forefoot area on this skate was a pain to punch out. It took like 5 times. Skates were a warranty replacement so I was stuck with em.
