Does cruving a blade affect stiffness?

Recommended Posts

common sense says alot because you are bending a set mold, but it really depends on how much you plan on curving it. Are you looking to curve a comp or a woody?

I heard you shouldn't mould a composite because the foam inside is vaporized when it comes into contact with heat.

I think if it's an abs blade then you would be fine, but composite's are a no go. I even think that on the shaft of some sticks it says don't heat the blade/shaft.

Nice one Vapor with the composite curving story.

I had an old christian blade lying arround a few years ago and I got bored and curved it with a heat gun. I made the blade (which was a lefty) into a righty. My little brother used it forever. Most fugly curve ever.
