Is this a deal? Easton S16

Hey guys, new user here. I had a quick question that maybe you could help me out with.

A local shop here has a few (3) Easton S16's, all in good condition. 85 flex and a 100 flex to be more precise.

I know these sticks retailed for around $200 brand new, he is offering me the sticks for $150 each. Is this a good deal? I checked Ebay for these and the prices were all over the place...

(To clarify, it's the Blue/Silver stick. Pretty sure it was the S16)

i think you mean the s17. and no it's not that great of a deal. it can be had for around 110-130 if you look around.

No such model as an S16. Is it silver on the top and bottom with blue in the middle? If so, its the SE16. As long as its a retail stick with warranty stickers and not pro stock, that's a good deal. Those go for about $189 just about everywhere you look.

Blue/Silver sounds more like an SE16 to me. Those are still top SyNergy model so they aren't being discounted yet. $150 is a pretty solid price.

Yes, you guys are right, sorry. It's the SE16. I've been out of Hockey for a while so the products all confuse me.

Put it this way, the last stick I purchased was a CCM Vector 130.

Yeah, it's a retail stick. He has them stickered at $179 I believe but I know him well and he said he'll let em go for $150. I think he's trying to move em'. Either way, my stick arsenal is kinda slim and I've always wanted to try out an Easton stick.

He has the Zetterberg and the Iginla pattern.

Yeah, it's not the deal to end all deals or anything, but that's a really good price for an SE16, which is a pretty nice stick.

Totally agree with all above.

I have been hoping it would come down further, but $150 is about where I seriously start considering a purchase of a SE16. If I was you, and looking to go for said stick, as well as willing to spend that much on a stick (despite being away for so long), I would go for it.

But that's just my opinion.

Hmm. I can't see someone liking both of those curves. Personally I think Zettzy is too small, and Iggy not open enough. But that's coming from a pre SE16 Sakic curve lover!

Hey guys, I'm retarded. Turns out it was an S17. I ended up getting the Iginla 100 flex. Haven't used it yet since I'm just recently getting my legs back, haven't played Ice in a while so I'm just rockin a wood stick :) Cant wait to try this out. The last OPS I used was a CCM V130.
