Question about SE16 Sakic's

Recommended Posts

Are the Sakic curves on the SE16 just way smaller than the Elite's, SL's, ST's, and to a lesser extent the S17/S19? I tried playing with the Sakic SE16 a bunch of times and just didn't like it, I think it is because of the smaller Sakic curve. If that's the case, are the other patterns less curved as well?

I've noticed that too to be honest. I have an S17 with a Sakic curve and I never play with it because of the smaller curve. Weird. It sure does look like they made the curve a bit smaller.

The Iginla looked pretty flat to me on an SE17 last night. Many curves seem to be getting flatter lately.

When I had the S17 and now with the S19 I just bought last night, the Iginla curve seems bigger on those than on either SE16 blades or previous offerings of the Iginla pattern.

I bought an SE16 Iginla and the blade was very short...to the point that I couldn't get comfortable with it. Pucks just didn't come off right.

Being a fan of the shorter blades I love the Iginla. If you're used to longer blades then good luck getting used to it.

Went from a p88 to that...liked the shaft and the blade feel but did not like the length.

I never really noticed how short the iginla was till I got a P92 when I wanted a little more curve. The P4 Forsberg/Zetterberg has been getting flatter and flatter for a long time it seems.

i've noticed the iginla getting a bit more curve but haven't look at enough sakics to judge

This has really bugged me. the SEs and SE16's have a curve that is straight but just at an angle, where as the ST's and s17s seem to have an actual curve to them (so does my cnt).

i just went by my LHS today to look at a Int S17 Iginla curve and the length of the blade is unbelievably short, it's almost identical to the length of the Jr blades. Really threw me off into buying it :(

I've noticed in general, Easton's Sakic curve has been getting smaller than other manufacturers versions of the curve, which sucks. It's getting a little too mild for my tastes. I wish it was a tad bit larger, like Bauer's P92.
