How do you tape your stick?

What do you like, what do you think looks better?

Personally, I like a white sleeve (heel to full toe) on the S19. The rest of the sticks I use a black sleeve. I think Semin has the best tape job in the show.

I was always partial to the Lindros.

Just two or three strips right on the sweet spot.

I used to do from about the middle to the toe. Felt it gave me better wrist shots.

Now that I'm using more expensive sticks, I tape the whole thing. In fact, I'm a little anal about it.

Strip along the bottom, strip along the top (really helps against chips and skates). Both of those strips cover the toe, too. Then I tape heel to toe, black tape. Wax the hell out of it, melt it in with a heat gun, wax it again with a different brand of wax, melt it with a heat guy, then wax it again. Probably adds five pounds to the stick :), but gives a really tacky, waxy-sandpaper-ish finish.

Aside from protecting the blade, the biggest reason to do it that way for me is that the tape job lasts FOREVER. I hate taping my stick.

But if I don't care about the blade...middle to the toe, then wax like above.

Heatley rocks the Lindros now. Looks good, but hard to use. Bobby Orr pulled it off too I think.

just a bit before the heel all the way to the toe with very minimal overlap. light wax, fresh for every game.

Almost as if my blade was wearing a sock. I go all the way from above the heel totally to the toe. I'm the only person on my team with that tape job :)

Looks great with white tape on a U+ CL.

I just rememberred Ken Daniels asking Mickey Redmond how Mickey taped his stick when he was playing. Mickey said for a long time he didn't use blade tape, he'd just burn the stick black to hide the puck. Finally he added tape, just one strip like Bobby Orr. Anyone else here ever go with no tape?

I play inline so my tape job is much less then a full wrap like alot of the Ice guys do. I do 2 strips horizontally across the forehand and backhand of the blade. Takes me literally 2 minutes.

Nice, that's what I refer to as a Bobby Lang Sleeve. Doug Gilmour also rocked that, but I don't know if he did all the way to the toe.
