Tebow went so high 'cause not only did he change his entire delivery in about three months, but he showed the dedication to break himself down like that and not just "go with what works."

He's a much better athlete than the last top QB Meyer produced, Alex Smith.

David Carr did the same thing, had to bring his motion up. Get into real games and he would start dropping his motion again. Tebow has probably been throwing from the hip since he was 5 years old, it's not that easy to just up and change your entire mechanics in three months, none of it game action. (unless your Hank Aaron, but thats a different story.)
