sorry about that the best thing going from the first pair i had to this one tho was the liner...in the rolston ones it had the vapor XX type liner the felt feeling stuff...i hate that now theyre on leather (or synthetic leather im not sure which i dont wanna be wrong again tho lol) which is much more comfy and much better feel for the ice. better like pretty stiff skates if you get these tho, and having used the razor blades now i hafta say theyre not that bad, just different feel. the steel doesnt break as easy (yeah so far) as it did on the old RBs. i almost wish i had waited for the mission ones you have tho cuz missions are alot more like graf which had been my boot for years. no regrets tho these are a very fast skate.

Our rep said that the XXX skate was a LIMITED RUN and WILL NOT be replacing the XX skate.

I like the XXX skate better from what i've seen of it, but Vapors don't fit my foot, the Synergy does. I'd want an 8090 skate at this point. It looks to be just about the same as the XXX skate in a different fit. Maybe a TAD bit heavier.

They are a limited run for December delivery to your LHS. I think I was told only about 50-60 dealers in North America will have them in December. After that it will be a couple months till full run. The XX is NOT going away. What I was told is that the XXX is slightly heavier, not much, than a Synergy. BUt they are to be lighter than 8090's.

I have seen the Synergy skates and the Vapor XXX skates being used by players in the QMJL. Even Danny Heatly used them in the World Cup this past summer. From what I can tell there is not much deferent’s in the skates. The Vapor XXX has a new look to it but over all it’s the same skate as the Vapor XX. The new Synergy skates are the same skates as the Z airs...but with a new look. Skates are not made to last! Moreover, they are not made to be repaired. Remember ...every 2 years Bauer, Easton, Mission, and CCM come out with a new look of high performance skates that burn out after 2 years. Unless you go with Graf?

Find what’s good for your foot…not what’s the latest and greatest on the market.

No, the Synergy skates are very different from the Z-Air. There are a number of changes other than just the look of the skate.

The Synergy skates, along with the Kor skates, are alot different than any other skate out on the market right now.

They have a full one piece carbon outsole. The Z-Air doesn't. They aren't heat mouldable, the Z-Air's are, these are just the two major differences, they are completely different skates.

Go back and read any one of the multipage posts on the Synergy skates from over the summer when we discussed them. Ryan from Easton had a number of posts about them.

The search tool can be your friend.

These 2 major differences don't make the whole skate, and are not very major.

They have a new Razor blade holder, they majority of the skate is graphite. I think it'd be quicker to say whats the same on them.

The skate is a molded composite shell, that is incredibly different from the technology used to make other skates.

I've heard you dismiss alot of these of these differences, but by your reasoning all skates are the same. They have a holder, blade and boot. Look through the pages, do the research, then come back, tell us why you feel there isn't a difference and then it'll have some merit. I'm not saying the Easton SyNergy skate will be better, but it is different.
