Entry/Intermediate level gloves

Recommended Posts

If you like loose gloves get the SE16's they are fantastic. I love my two pairs! They have good protection and the palms are a little thick but very comfortable and mine are holding up fine. For that price id buy up a pair. Im pretty sure they are the only top of the line gloves on that list.

Yup, as goalie said, if you like loose gloves the SE16 is quite nice for that price. I paid $80 for both of my pairs, but find them quite comfy and have no issue with the thickness of the palm.

TJ, I know your access is limited, but do you know how you like gloves to fit? It might help you to try on gloves of friends/teammates that are from the brands and lines that you're considering. They may not have the exact same glove, but it would give you an idea of fit and might help steer your decision.

I actually like a snug feel on the palms and good finger movement. Having a loose cuff or not doesn't really make much of a difference right now since I'm fairly new to the sport and have a long way to go and many things to learn before I can actually have gear preferences.

get the XXV or the 6k then (XXV being a higher up model than 6k), Fuels are pretty tight but dunno how they feel once they break in

Haha... I would actually use it myself for a 000 acoustic. Or a nice strat slab board fingerboard. You make your own guitars?? That's awesome man!!

I assemble parts, not enough equipment to build them from raw materials.

Stay away from the farrell G200s...there is no thumb lock, and you'll be very susceptible to an injury to your thumb.

Go for a glove like the 4-roll which offers this type of protection.

I have an old pair of CCMs, and the palm is nearly worn through. I love the glove but think it'll cost too much to fix the palm. Has anyone ever done that?
