Easton Skate Sizing

Recommended Posts

I searched, but couldn't find a thread on the first 8 pages.

So what's up with Easton skates? What is the general rule on these? Are they supposed to fit you 1.5 sizes down or 0.5 sizes down?

I wear a 10.5 Shoe (Could fit into a 10 though, get the 0.5 for comfort) and am in Easton SE6 skates sized 8.5D, which would suggest that they are supposed to fit 1.5 sizes down.

However, I finally got to my LHS and tried on the S11 and I could still touch the front in a 9.5R. This would suggest a 0.5 difference.

Well I don't think that my foot grew, as my last three pairs of shoes have been 10.5s (Been wearing 10.5s for about 18 months)

So did Easton change their sizing rules, or does the 0.5 size down only count for the Stealth line or something?

I managed to get into SE16s 8R, which were small for me, not like RIDICULOUSLY small, but every other size was out of stock.

Ice Hockey Warehouse is saying that Easton skates should fit 0.5 sizes down, but everywhere else I read they are supposedly 1.5 sizes down.

I know it's all about "whatever fits" but I'm just thrown off by all of this. So if anybody here wears Eastons, I'd appreciate if you could share your skate model, size and your shoe size.

Thanks!

9.5/10 shoe depending on the brand, size 8 Eastons for the past 3-4 years. 1500's, S15's, S17's.

I think it largely depends on the form of one's toes since easton doesn't use anatomical toe cup (like Bauer for instance) a lot of people with longer big toes have to go .5 size up to accomodate. Case to point:

I'm 10.5-11 in shoes, and wore 9.5R 1500C and S15 so it's 1 to 1.5 size down.

In One95 & XXXX I'm 9D because of the toe cup

I wear 9.0 shoes. Sometimes 9.5 running shoes for comfort. I wear 7.0 Easton Skates. (S15s)

I find the toe cap for the eastons fit a lot better for me than Bauers. Maybe cause they are more round and not "anatomical" like the bauers

I'm pretty sure it's about 1 to 1.5 size difference, I wear a size 9 - 9.5 shoe and I wear a size 8 in Easton. (7.5 in Bauer X:60's)

Well apparently it's 1.5 Sizes down.

Just got my S17s yesterday in a 8.5, they fit perfectly. (10/10.5 shoe)

with Easton it all depends on which type of boot/last you're trying on. If you're trying on their Composite moulded boot/last, they fit toally different than their traditional stitched boot/last.

Easton's a tough skate to guess which size you are vs. other brands
