Helmet Stickers: Any good companies/sites?

Trying to locate a company to make memorial helmet stickers to honor a friend who passed away recently.

Looking for a site where you can design your own sticker on the site. Most of what I've found requests a file. We're thinking something simple just name, number and/or nickname.

Looking to make approx. 500 stickers.

My experience with Tag Sports has been.. frustrating.

Contacted Larry (super nice guy) about getting 30 bag tags made for my team. He agrees and sends me the pdf with the mock up. I called him on Sept 27th to place the order. Told him numerous times to send me a Paypal invoice. He says he'll make them up on the 28th and have them shipped out by the 30th (a friday). Never get the paypal invoice until I call him back again. He had trouble remembering what the order was for. (I called him less than 24 hours ago and discussed with him in length.) Finally finds my order and invoices me and I pay him instantly for bag tags and 2 extra 5x5 stickers.

I think he's shipped them out that Friday as he said. So I call him today, Oct 5th, and he once again has trouble remembering my order after telling him my name, team, and specfic order. After recalling it (he called it a ''brain fart''), he informs me he didn't ship them yet and he just finished them. Now I was told they would be shipped 6 days ago. He then says ''didn't you order something else with the tags?'' ..I reply ''Yes, you invoiced me for the stickers and I paid for them.'' I'm thinking that he completely forgot about them and hasn't printed those yet.

My guess is that I won't see these tags until sometime next week at this rate.

Shoot me a pm with an idea of what you want, and I'll try to whip something up in photoshop real quick. Then you'll have a file to submit to the sites that don't have a "build your own" option.

Have had great experiences with these guys. They'll usually throw in a couple extra stickers in your order too. I usually end up with 5-7 more than I ordered. They're real fast with quotes and real easy to communicate with. Turnaround time was less than two weeks with the shipping.

On another note, I'm with Harv on Tag Sports. Good product none the less, but a pain to deal with especially when it comes to billing...

Just ordered a set from SportStar aka Gear4Pros. Prices are higher than some companies but their quality is excellent! Thing I like about SportStar they print on 4mil white that has an 8mil clear overlaminate. Down fall with SportStar is the minimum quantity. I should have decals by the end of October so I will post an update after we have used them for some time.

I had Tag Sports print a couple samples for me a year or two ago. They appeared to use a good quality thick decal but the decal cut was offset. Prices we're better than SportStar if that is the deciding factor for you. For me it is overall quality!

That is what we use as well, 4mil white or clear base / 8 mil lamination. We also offer 8 mil white base, with 8 mil lam. No minimum orders, and 3 day turn arounds :)

I experienced both with Tag Sports. Quality couldn't been better on both the samples and finished product. they had no problem "flipping" our mascot so that it was skating forward on both sides of the helmet. the no minimum was great when we needed more decals for new players.

Received 15 sets from SportStar. Just as I expected high quality.

I've also been in contact with Zinc to do our home set. Hope to have a sample but haven't heard from him this week. I'll keep everyone updated.
