X:60 Girdle Reviews

Recommended Posts

Looking for some help here. Trying to decide between the X60 and the ONE95. I'm not really looking for a ton of protection, just mobility. As for size, I have a 36" waist and I'm 5'7", not sure if I should go medium or large.

definitely Large

I'd try them on...I have a Vapor XXV pant and am 5'8 with a 36" waist and fit into a medium fine. Same with X60 and One90 pants, haven't tried a girdle though.

pants sizing and girdle's are totally different as turned out from my own expirience, my Nike Pro pants have a M size and fitting is amasing , my X60 ACP have a M size as well , pretty snug , but if I had had at that moment some possibility to choose between M and L , I'd have jumped into Large .BTW, I'm 5'78 and my waist is 35".

I am about 5'7", 30-32" waist. I went to try on the X:60 and the sales guy wanted to put me in a L, said he just fit a little kid in a size medium. I said "no way is that going to fit", but it felt pretty good. I insisted on going down and trying smaller sizes, and they all seemed to fit me pretty good !

Ultimately I ended up in a small, but the girdle seemed so adjustable I think I would have been fine in a large.

This is the first girdle I'll have worn, but I really liked the way it fit. I've tried other girdles which never really felt quite right. The X:60 hip pads seemed to be glued right there. The only question is whether I'll be able to handle the extra heat.

My first session wearing the girdle didn't go so well. While the girdle felt good, I felt like throwing up halfway through. I wasn't sweating any more than normal (though I sweat a lot), and I wasn't especially out of breath, but I started wondering whether I was overheating in them. It might have been a coincidence that this happened on my first day in the girdle, but it wasn't any more humid than it had been in prior weeks. We'll see how it goes this week.

So to review this, the X:60 girdle has thigh and waist adjustment compared to the pants and a pretty similar level of protection. Are the leg lengths adjustable?

I'm wearing a pair of Vapor XXV pants right now that are so lightweight they are basically nothing, but switching to defense I block a shot every couple games that's pretty painful. I'm looking at the Tackla 9000, Vapor X:60 pants, and thinking about this girdle as well...what would be the pros and cons of each?

Quick question for everyone. I'm 6'1, 185 lbs. 32inch waist. I tried them on and it seemed like a Medium was the best fit. Assuming that I go with a medium, what size shell should I get? I've never used a girdle/shell combo before. But I loved the way they felt and have been saving to make this transition for a while now. I'm waiting to see what size shell to get before I pull the trigger. Any input is welcome.

Thanks in advance!

So a medium should be good? Most people on my team are getting a Large. But most also have pants. I didn't know if a Medium would be a good fit or not. But it sounds like it should be my best bet if it's a bit roomy on a Medium.

Am i having a major brain fart? Could you wear the compression jock underneath the x:60 girdle. Attach your socks to the jock then do up the legs on the girdle?

Yep, that's what I do. It's nice with the adjustable thigh pads cause they hold your socks tight along with the jock.

I actually find my self tightening it and pulling it up throughout my games. The length is perfect and the bottom of the pants and thigh pads stay put really well; the waist just loosens up once in a while when skating so I either give the belt a tug or just pull it up a little.

Never tried on a medium, I think it would be too big all around.

Pull an ovechkin and use a lace the lace won't loosen.

i don´t now if i should go for a medium or a large one. i´m 6´2 and have a 33 waist. right now i am wearing a medium easton synergie girdle and its a little short for my liking. waist wise a medium just be the best fit i guess...but i am afraid that they will be to short again. the problem is that there is no place here in germany where i can try it on. another option would be a large warrior project gridle, since i´ve heard that it fits al little more narrow than the other girdles on the market. what would you guys suggest? thanks!

Hey guys, new hockey player here (love the sport). Just wondering, would this girdle be a tad too much for a non-checking league? And knowing nothing about girdles, or hockey pants for that matter, would one have to wear a cup under the girdle? Cheerio!

When it comes to girdles/pants - its the protection you get from shots deflecting off you that matters most to me (along with taking hits from sticks, falling yadda yadda)

So even though it's a non checking league...how much do you value your "bits" is the real question!

It's possible Salibandy may have been referring to "Is there a place in the girdle where the cup goes?" I am entering into the start of my fourth year so I can remember trying to figure out the gear at home so I wouldn't miss ice time or make other players late getting dressed for my first ice time.

However if he does mean "Do I have to wear a cup, or not?" I refer to the fact that the only spare equipment I know guys normally bring to the rink are spare cups and jocks and a back-up stick.

Yeah, I mean the former. For sure I would want to preserve the integrity of my offspring creating bits. What I mean is, do girdles come with an integrated cup or would one have to wear one underneath it?

Some do and some do not, check the descriptions before you order one if you are shopping online. The X60 does not have a spot for the cup, I wear a pair of compression shorts that hold the cup and have velcro for my socks and then the X60 girdle over that Pretty much the same set up that someone mentioned above.

I'm 6'2" and about 205 with a 33 or 34 and large works more than fine. Nice hybrid between traditional pants and some of the tighter girdles.

Who would have thought this is going to be the hardest piece of gear for me to find..

I've just about called the majority of hockey shops in Toronto and none of them carry it....

Try hockey experts at Kennedy commons in Scarbs. They seem to be good at having a wide range of product. Otherwise call pro hockey life locations would be my other guess.
