x40 vs x50 stick?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, could anyone advise the difference between them? I got x20 now pm9 works fine, but I want to get another one with 77 flex, so thinking x40 or x50? Thanks

X40 is good value for $99. You could try to find a X60 prostock for about $100 but might be hard finding that flex.

tsr had a ton of 77 flex x60's in there march shipment. I haven't checked out this months selection.

I was up there last week looking for the same thing. No luck in RH.

I looked at the X40 while I was there. Seems like a decent stick for the price, little heavier then most but nicely balanced.

Not to hijack but since I'm thinking about calling TSR for 77 flex X60 I had a question first. Trying to improve my wrist shot and snap shot. Using a 87 flex X60 Lombardi now. Sometimes it seems I can't tell it I'm getting enough flex from the stick or not. Would trying a 77 flex help me to improve my technique on these 2 type of shots?

I'm no specialist, but I think that 77flex will help you load it better as it will be easier to put a flex on it.

So, what do you think guys, should I go with x40 or x50 or just look for x60.. i do not play that well and still working on my puck handling and shots.. I feel kinda stupid getting a top line stick that I can't get all the benefit out..

I know what you mean, but you might as well get a top of the line stick for the same money or less. pro stock would be cheaper than x50 retail

Blades shafts, curves etc. Not sure what you mean by "how come these pro sticks get on ebay"

Are they different meaning designed for specific players? Then it would not work for me as I prefer stay with standard stuff as at least I know what it looks like.

I was saying if they are made for players how come they get on ebay? it's not the players selling them ;D

Places like tsr get the extra sticks. The extras are not given to the players themselves for the most part. You can get extremely customized prostock sticks that were made for certain players, or you can get a stick that has a retail curve. TSR has a decent amount of bauer sticks with retail curves
