Warrior Pro series or Bauer 4-roll gloves?

Recommended Posts

Which gloves would be more durable, or better in your opinion?

All I can see is warrior has a Nash palm and bauer has a clarion palm.

Also is a 15” glove recommended for a 6’4’’ player? Tried on some 4-roll 15” gloves at my LHS and I felt like they where huge. But I am coming from really small glove from my Junior years.

Here is a link to the warrior glove,

Thanks!

The Pro Series are super nice, they actually have micronash palms which dont get hard like nash palms do. Also, try on 14s at your lhs. It has nothing to do with your height, just the size of your arm and hand. I would go with the Warriors

They look like they have a digital overlay though unless I'm mistaken.

The Bauers are very popular and they're probably one of the the best 4-rolls around (especially considering the price). But I personally own the regular Bully gloves and if the pro version is as good, then you'll get a lightweight, good looking and surprisingly solid glove. Plus I think they look better, but that's just my opinion. The Bauer 4-roll is a bit wider, if that's a problem

Evomike, keep in mind the durability issues were only on the 09 pro series. Not the 2010. They're sick gloves....

I am not worried about that. I can see they have updated almost their whole line of mitts. I have large hands and I have been able to try on the 4-rolls in a shop.

This is my first pair of gloves since my 11" easton Ultra-lights. I am sure I will buy some warriors in the future.

I have small hands and they both fit wide for me but to me they are almost equal, but the Warriors have a nicer palm yet the Bauer have a better price. On those points and my opinions, the Bauer 4 Rolls give you a better bang for your buck.

The Pro Series palms are micronash though, they're thinner than nash and softer, they dont get crusty like nash does either

no its just normal nash, one of the reasons they can sell it at $100

http://www.totalhockey.net/Product.aspx?itm_id=4414&div_id=41

* Lightweight construction with traditional style and color scheme

* Durable and lightweight full Nylon outer shell

* High quality embroidered Warrior logo on cuff

* Pro level padding with PE inserts for Pro protection

* Open flex cuff for unhindered mobility

* High quality reinforced Nash leather palm

* Thumb lock prevents hyper-extension

* Mesh finger gussets for breathability

* Elastic mouthguard band holds your mouth guard when not in use

and i have a bully pro which is the samething, believe me its normal nash, and compared to a 4 roll its a slightly tigher fit

Hmm thats weird. My bad. Because I have Mac Daddy gloves with nash palms, and they are totally different than my Pro Series... The Pro Series are gray and feel completely different than the tan palms on the Mac Daddys. Oh well, maybe they changed the nash. Nevermind

I had micronash palms on a pair of bonafides. They got crusty.

Also K9, are you sure it's normal nash and not micro. The palms on the pro series look like the same palm on the normal bully which is micro according to the warrior catalog

i'll double check later tonight, my aunts living in my man cave atm, i know for a fact its not as thin as micronash, maybe they used it for '10 bully's, mines 09

i'm no where close to an expert when it comes to palms

edit: well i checked, if it is micronash its a really cheap one, it just doesn't feel as good (its a definitely thicker), tbh i can't really tell a difference other than micronash is slightly smoother, yet grippier feeling than whatever nash the bully is

Yeah, I just looked at my Mac Daddys, the palms are definitely thinner on the Pro Series, and have better feel. Im no palm expert either, all I know is they're much better than the nash palms on the Macs.

Haha I have chosen the 4-rolls... for now. Sooner or later I will be getting some warriors too. I needed to get some gloves quick b/c my current pair are from my junior days. Later I will go all out on some pro stock MIA's and post them on the show-it-off forum.
