S500 Problem...

To start off, I waited to get my skates for the stick promotion, so I guess I bought them in July. Well here it is almost November and my skates are already ripping to shreds. I do skate a lot, and have been on on the ice probably about 6 or 7 times a week if not more lately, but this has never happened to me before. Here are some pics:

Bad batch? I don't know, have you guys seen this before?

I have a similar, but smaller, rip in mine. It's just in the material around the top that is used for looks. There isn't any structural damage in mine. Justin told me it has been changed.

Perhaps they were using the "old" version for the stick promotion?

AFAIK "changed" refers to the upcoming '05 line.

Looks like the same thing that has happened to each of my pairs of XXs. It's mostly just cosmetic wear and tear, and shouldn't effect the skates very much, if at-all.

don't xx's do that too...
