advice needed on tapered blade options for ONE95 shaft

Recommended Posts

Ive just bought 2 tapered ONE95 shafts from TSR.

what i cant decide on is should i get some Harrow 300 blades or should i try these Pro return blades from Ebay?

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150477942637#ht_19669wt_1054

Ive used the search function on here and see that the Harrow blades get a pretty good write up but can find any posts about the ones ive seen on Ebay and was wondering if anyone has tried them.

I have never used those ebay blades, but just looking through the ebay store, there aren't actually that many tapered blades for sale. Obviously it depends on the pattern you use and which way you shoot.

I have used (and still do use) the Harrow 300 blades, and am very happy with them. They have stood up really well, they seem to stay stiffer longer than other blades i have used. Also they seem a very genuine company...I had my blades shipped to England and it didnt take long at all.

Personally i think i would go for the Harrow blades.

I have used those "pro return" blades from ebay and I actually loved them. They are not actual pro return, just knock-offs. I have been trying to e-mail the guy for months to see if they have the pattern I orginally got last year, but they never have them. My only problem with them was the hosel chipped easily, but they were still solid. I thought they had a great feel to them and held up pretty well for the most part. I went through 4 of them in about 6 months, but that was playing "A" league hockey 3-4 nighst a week. That's just my opinion though.

They've gotten pretty good reviews from people here. Supposedly a good combination of feel and durability without being too heavy.

The Harrow blades are heavier than most top end blades. The hosel is also a little longer for some reason. I know people were having problems with them fitting in Warrior Dolo's but I had no problem throwing one in my old RBK shaft. Personally, I would go with a light high end blade to go with a high end shaft. Something like the SE16 or RBK 8k.

Edit: I forgot to put some other thoughts on the Harrow blade... I really, really, like the puck feel and I have had no problems in durability. It's just a tad heavy.

I love the Harrow blades. If those "pro return" blades are anything like Eastons, they'll be very light and have great feel and start cracking/splitting pretty quickly. The Harrows are a little heavier and have great feel and are insanely durable.

Oh and everything fit tight in a Dolo shaft except the Dolo blades.

The eBay blades are very similar to the Sherwood RM9. The fact that their Coffey clone is pretty much dead on only reinforces my belief that these blades are from the same factory.

I've been using them for months and love them but in a previous thread some folks didn't like the feel. I find them to be stiff, lightweight, and durable.

I decided to give these ebay blades a shot, too.

For the european guys: The shipping costs are more than fair with 20$ for 4 blades.
