Nike V10 shoulder pads?

Recommended Posts

V10's? Circa 2004? White, grey and orange with the swoosh on the shoulder caps?

I bought these way back when and I'm still using it. About medium bulk, and has good pretty good mobility and decent protection.. My bicep guards have fallen off but that was about 2 years ago, and I never bothered to re-attach them. This is playing around 1-2 times per week. They also dry pretty quickly.

If you can find these on the cheap I'd recommend it. I think they were around $120 when they came out, but I could be wrong. The v-12's were the only model higher in the Nike line that year, and I'm not too sure those lasted very long. But then again, I don't see many people in Nike gear.

I think the only pads I'd trade them in for would be Sherwood 5030's or Bauer Classics, but that's only because I want something with even more mobility.

I had them a few years ago and coincidentally posted a review here earlier today. I paid about $120 Canadian brand new as well. For $20 they're a steal. They're a great mobile pad for bear league if you don't mind the slim cut (read not much in the way of rib protection and just enough chest protection to get by). I "upgraded" to the Supreme when someone here had them for sale and sold the V10s locally. I regretted that move after - the Supreme70s were lighter, had the adjustable biceps, and were probably a bit more protective, but they didn't feel as mobile to me - the vent armour was a bit stiff. I then sold the Supreme70s and went with the Farrells I use now. I'm happy with the Farrels without the caps, but the Nike V10s were good mobile pads for beer league. The move from the V10s to Supreme70s illustrated that newer isn't always better.

If their built like the V10 shins they should last. I've had the shins since they new to the market. No complaints here.
