IniNew 53 Report post Posted August 30, 2010 thats not what im talking about, but ive seen guy in the nhl that have huge flop(maybe even double tongues) because the flop would protect shots on their laces. i know what the shot blockers areFlop, if any at all, is going to provide very very minimal protection. With the arc that tongues have when they get that long, chances are any shot is just going to move the tongue out of the way and hit the laces anywhoo. Flop is merely an aesthetics, personal preference type of thing... one which IMO looks ridiculous.

Im a little older, I would guess, older than most on this site.....but the flop reminds me of when I was 12 yrs old, running a pair of wicked roller skates to "put another dime in the jukebox"......lol......I wonder if we will see dice hanging from skates soon?? lol.....or holders that light up when you take a stride? Hmmmmmmm....LOL
KABAROV 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2011 bump from the dead...anywhere I can find the bauer replacement tongues or reebok white felt tongues? Everywhere seems to be sold out except the hockey shop that has the XL size for $80. Hockeymonkey is much cheaper at $35 but is sold out. I'm looking for some to get some flop on my 09 one95's. I would need a 7 or 8 ish tongue. Thanks!Kabarov
