A durable stick brand/ model

Recommended Posts

my ballistics, have been EXTREMELY durable.

I've had 2, 45 cal's for about 4 month, hockey 3-4 times a week...paint is scuffed on them, but still perform like new

as a matter of fact, some guy stepped on my stick today, the shaft, full body, and nothing...don't ask me how the stick ended up there, lol

isnt that what I am doing...?

wasn't directed towards you lol.

all factors on your technique etc aside,

the octogun and 9k were(are) POS. 3-4 weeks seems about right. there is a reason they made them for a couple months than stopped.

My 9k has been plenty durable lol. S17 too.

Have you tried a stiffer stick at all?

The octogun was an intermediate stick (65 flex), which ironically is the one that lasted longer (2 months), the 9k and the Bauer One Pro are both 85 flex cut to 95 (1 month use). I couldn't possible bend a larger flex :)

I presume perhaps having gone from 2 months to 1 month durability might have to do with going to a higher flex, meaning I have been having to put more down force, which can possibly have deteriorated them prematurely.

Thanks to all of you for your replied and good intentions! I will try to adjust my technique in the next few weeks to touch less the ice/ apply less down force to provoke the loading, and see how the new one responds. If the thread is still open by then I will comment on the durability of this new one.

Between the octo and 9k, my shop sold about 75. I do not know anyone who kept them more than 3 months. They sucked. U havd to be lucky with that stick... broke like mad at blade, octo shattered at kick point.

Warrior dolomite, Easton ST have proven to be fairly durable for me. As some other members have suggested, try looking at 2 piece setups as well. Both the sticks i've mentioned are available as shafts.
