Kraft Hockeyville Game - Dundas Ontario

Recommended Posts

Anyone else watching? The cameras right on top of the rink makes for some interesting shots. The small ice is making this look like a very skilled shinny game. It almost doesn't look like NHL hockey.

The place was jam packed when the game started. Lots of empty seats now and in the secind as well. I guess giving away the tickets as singles means a lot of kids had to leave when their parents got tired of waiting outside. *L*

Also interesting...(and I'm not sure how I JUST noticed this) but CBC all over the ice, but TSN has the broadcast rights. They do have a rink board sign. I guess CBC is there taping stuff to show in HNIC this weekend.

The game was on the NHL network in the states. It looked pretty cool.

Not a heck of a lot of room on the benches. I'll bet the change rooms are not what the players are used to.

I've played there. The rooms are tiny. Unless they knocked out a couple walls and turned 4 rooms into 2 it would be a tight fit for 20 NHLers. There are separate rooms where the Jr C and Sr A teams dress....but based on how the Sabres left the ice behind the net, they were headed to the rooms we use.

Ya, the change rooms are soooo small. Must have been insane. I was totally unaware of the game being held there, or else I would have gone. Darn!

TSN was broadcasting the game but CBC is doing a big Hockeyville special to be broadcast at a later date-not sure when exactly. I went down to check it out and they had a mammoth tv screen suspended by a crane over Market street where everyone could watch. Kind of a neat atmosphere.

Agreed. I thought was a blast to watch. I think one reason was, because of the small physical size of the facility, the lighting was outstanding.

They made it to the Allan Cup a couple years ago (maybe it was last year....can't remember). Never been to a game, but I hear it's good hockey.
