New Reebok SicKick III Line

What will be the longest stick in the lineup? I'm really digging the 65" length of the Easton Synergy ST (115) flex. Would love to see something at this length in a softer flex for a tall guy (6'9").

For now our longest stick is 60 inches. All I can recommend is adding an end plug for now. But I'll keep your request in mind.

I read somewhere that the P42 was supposed to be a P34 with higher lie, any truth to that?

The P42 Duchene is similar to the P34 Hamrlik. Same lie (5).

Looking at the blade patterns you mentioned, it seems you guys got rid of the Spezza pattern, which was similar to the Bauer P106, Easton Drury etc. Is the Phaneuf the new equivalent?

Never tried a Reebok OPS before haha

Yes, the new Phaneuf P36A pattern is the equivalent of the Easton Drury. Let me know if you decide to try it out.

Two good questions. For now, we consolidated all our grips to GRIPTONITE to simplify our offering. No plans to offer a "tactile grip" in the near future but it's something we can consider.

The best bang for your buck depends on your level of play. For mid price points, the new 6K is an outstanding value. In focus groups, many kids thought the 6K was our new high end stick. I recommend that you go to your local store to check it out. Let me know what you think.

Just some feedback on the GRIPTONITE; personally i find it way too grippy i then to spray a light coating of clearcoat and find it is much better.

Is the the 11k taper shaft an updated 8k? If it happens to play anything like my 10k ops i'd be very happy :)

Simply a question out of curiosity for you Ollie: Why doesn't Reebok have True Temper produce their retail sticks as well? True Temper's pro stocks through you guys are a MASSIVE hit with those that buy them and the other company they produce for, Combat, has a great reputation for amazing sticks as well.

Thanks for your comment on the grip, I'll keep it in mind.

Concerning the 11K shaft, it's an upgrade over the 8K...lighter, more durable and better feel.

The new Crosby P87A pattern is the same as the Sakic pattern offered by Easton.

Awesome, that was the only thing holding me back from trying out reebok/ccm sticks!

I'll second the thoughts on the grip and the patterns. I've wanted to try Reebok sticks, but the lack of a Sakic-clone has held me back. The grip, for me, is way too grippy. If you guys had offered the 8K shaft without the GRIPTONITE I likely would've picked one up, but I couldn't stand the feel of it.

So my LHS has one of these as a demo. I picked it up and the balancing on it is phemomenal. It felt so light! It was a left and I shoot right so it was hard to get a full read on it. But it felt amazing just to gold and swing around a little.

Thanks. The 11K and 9K are offered in grip and clear so you have the option.

Have anything to say about this?

Like Scotty, I'm interested to hear what you have to say

Sorry but am I correct in understanding that there will no longer be the original p36 spezza curve available?

i went to a couple pro shops yesterday and this is correct as far as i can tell. the new p36a is an exact clone of the staal (which, btw, i realized is slightly varied from the drury). i didnt see a single 11k spezza at either shops.

Thanks for the questions. The new P36A Phaneuf is a true heel curve. Equivalents in the market include the Easton Drury (Parise) and Bauer Staal. The P42 Duchene is like an Easton Zetterberg or a Bauer Malkin. Here's the breakdown of the new Reebok curves with market equivalents:

P87A Crosby (Sakic, Backstrom and Lecavalier)

P42 Duchene (Zetterberg and Malkin)

P40 Hedman (Kane, Thornton)

P38 Datsyuk (no change)

P36A Phaneuf (Drury, Staal)

Hope that clears things up.

for those who have missed this

I saw a display model in a LHS. Very impressed. The shaft dimensions did not feel as boxy as the 10K to me, which I liked. Extremely light and well-balanced. The "dimples" on the blade are more like brail. When I saw "dimples" used to describe that feature on one of the retail sites, I thought they'd be concave and I didn't like the idea of it. But after seeing it, it's not that bad at all. Not sure how it will play with that feature, but overall looked good. I was thinking about trying the TotalOne, but this has definitely caught my attention.

The dimples on the blade work in conjunction with a stiffer core to produce a more precise shot...we refer to this as Guided Blade Technology. The dimples also help grip the puck to help guide its trajectory even when tape is applied.

Hi,

When will the 11k shaft become available?

Thanks

In stores right now.

Thanks for the question but I can't comment directly on our manufacturing. Your comment has been noted however.

Checked out the new line today. The 11k feels better in my hands than the 10k did. I think the grip is overkill though

On a side note.................the 11K shaft/blade combo is about 15 less than than the grip ops. 5 less than the non grip.

Like the total one shaft, the price increase from the 8k shaft to the 11k shaft is greater than the price increase from the 10k ops to the 11k ops. I think the 11k is the same price as the 10k ops was.

What does a guy have to do to get some David Perron/RH kovalev/RH toe curves retail? :d

No plans to introduce the pattern at retail but I'll keep it in mind. For now, I recommend that you keep your eye out for pro stock sticks.
