Greatest performance by a goalie of all-time?

ILYA BRYZGALOV GOALIE - PHX Sv: 42 | SA: 40 Sv%: 1.050

Saved every shot, even 2 that didn't happen! Had to laugh when I saw this stat on NHL.com's three stars of last night.

Michael Leighton made 98 saves for the River Rats, and Scott Munroe stopped 65 shots for the Phantoms, who took a club-record 101 shots (breaking the previous mark of 64).

An AHL spokesman told the Albany Times Union that Leighton's 98 saves is believed to be a record, surpassing the 83 saves Ty Conklin made for Hamilton in the game that previously held the record as the league's longest. He made 62 of his 98 saves in the five overtimes, including 20 in the first OT alone.

Ron Tugnutt, 70sv/73SA back with the Nords in their very shitty era.

If I recall correctly he lost that game 3-0.

Guys, it was a joke. NHL.com has him reported at a 1.050 SV% and is credited with 2 more saves than shots against.

I remember an old Hockey game (maybe it was NES...can't remember)...It was really easy to score score a goal with the goalie. If a game finished say, 3-0, and your goalie got the third goal into the empty net...the final stats showed that he allowed a goal.

I think he tied but you guys both proved my point.

I know the thread is a joke, but when you consider the pressure of the situation, the Roy/Vanbiesbrouck performances in game 4 of the 1996 Stanley Cup Finals was pretty amazing, too.

NESN still shows hightlights from that game as one of their great moments in Bruins history.

Edit: And you are correct, the game ended in a tie.

How many saves did he actually do?
