pass the bisk 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2010 It seems like out of the top price point sticks (easton s11, se6, bauer x40 to name a few). Bauers perform better and are just as durable as any other brand. Anybody else have a differing or same opinion? I've used the s11 and se6 and thought they were too heavy, but love the x40. coryroth24 15 Report post Posted November 23, 2010 I was a huge fan of the Vapor XXV twigs that they had a few years back. Not as light as the XXXX, but felt just as good and was durable...
boconnor811 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2010 I've been using the x:40's and love their performance. I have had some durability issues where shafts had broken repeatedly in the exact same spot. I started a thread about how I was breaking them and others had experienced similar issues, while some were 100% happy with the durability of the stick. boconnor811 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2010 So far so good with my x40I'm in no way dogging the stick, as I prefer their performance over the other sticks I've tried. I should also note that my experience is that their performance doesn't degrade as the stick approaches the end of its life. They perform as they did all along until that one last shot, that is one to many, and the shaft breaks. Initially that issue sent me in search of another stick; I've since tried supreme one95 which many regard as one of the best ops, and warrior dolomite which seemed to be a logical replacement. While the one95 had a much different feel, I did like the dolomite but still preferred the lowly vapor x:40. The small durability issue has me now trying out a vapor x:60, however, if that isn't noticeably better in the durability department I'll just stick with the x:40's. Even if requiring more frequent replacement, for the price ($80 online), you can almost have 3 sticks for the price of one top tier stick.
xrickyb86x 1 Report post Posted November 23, 2010 I just ordered the new Reebok 6k that was just released. Seems to have some high end features in it. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
OldCY 94 Report post Posted November 23, 2010 Haha I have a dolomite too but sometimes I'm afraid to use it when I'm playing against "hacks." the x40 is the best of both worlds IMO. It's durable yet still performs good enough for me. I'm not a pro or anything but for my crappy standards it's a great buy. The dolomite is lighter but I don't think the vapor is anything too heavy. I really am glad I got it, plus I got mine at modells and they always have coupons in the paper. Can't beat a deal.
pass the bisk 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2010 I actually just saw that reebok stick about 15 minutes ago. Looks like it may be able to overtake Bauers reign IMO. I saw the 7ks and loved how the stick felt, but it was 130 dollars. Let me know how the 6k works out for you.
